  • Anyone got a rough estimate of how much would this all run up to be?

  • That music sounds so sinister, I like the vid, been looking for some ideas for urban gardening.

  • This is excellent.. they've started to look a bit funny at me at my local supermarket cause I buy so many cucumbers (I shove them up my ass). This way I can grow my own right here in my closet. Thank you NaTeB143!

  • @Load1Bongs1Not1Guns what???? lol

  • My Local hydroponics store made those for me. I've been doing it for years in soil. I got AMAZING results in the aero spring system, such fast growth rates. Check out my guys down at Always Sunny Hydroponics in Waterbury CT. Their entire catalog is on their website and they can drop ship right to your house anywhere in the US, I order all my supplies through them. sunnyhydro com. call the shop for custom system orders, they know their stuff.

  • is that supposed to mean 2 feet of 3/4 in pvc?

  • I'd use and Aquaponic system that merges Aquaculture and Hydroponics instead

  • How is this method any better then using an airstone?

  • aw crap i was supposed to get a 264 gph?

  • @ NaTeB143 would a 130 ghp pump work????????

  • AHAHA I GOT ALL THE PARTS AND BROUGHT THEM HOME RIGHT NOW!!! now lets hope it isn't too hard to build

  • the pvc pipe and ez spray cloners are shit. concept is excellent though. i use irrigation hosing and waaaay better 360 sprayers that hardly ever clog.

you watch the ez cloners similar sprayers drop in pressure after 5 mins and clog like a bitch.

  • i cant understand any of this right now. ill just just favorite this and look this up again tommorrow

  • Great video presentation! This is certainly very helpful for novice growers because all the essential aspects of an aeroponic-hydroponic system were presented with clear instructions and illustrations. So building a homemade aero-hydroponic system would definitely be easier and a lot cheaper than buying a ready-made system.

  • @growgarden Well yeeeahhhh but people are so lazy these days, they would rather get a full set-up kit.

i on the other hand would love to make my own and plan to do so.

  • Why do you have closed cell foam gasket tape in your list and didn't use it?

  • Would you please message me and let me know what the purpose of the Hose on the outside of the bucket?Like whats it do?Cause i have everything i need but i just dont understand what that part is for.Thank you very much. This was so simple to make.Oh and would it be a extra benafit to have a airstone in the tank as well to keep co2 fresh?Or is that the whole purpose of the 5 whater jets spraying?Sorry to be such a Noob :)

  • @jaspertodd

That's a water-level gauge - it shows you how much water/nutrient you have in your reservoir. The guy down at my local hydro shop also said that it could be used for drainage with you change out your mix.

  • wuts the outter pipe for?? and can I make it simpler by using jus 3 sprayers or will the pump bust??

  • cool song!!!!!

  • Cool song

  • Nice video what im wondering is with that setup you can grow up to 8 marijuana plants ??? theres enough space for them to grow freely ?

  • @olirain its reasonable for a typican sea of green set up. I know some big bushy long branch sativa's would be crowded as heck and wouldnt be so practical, even with just 4 in the corners. Stealth growers like these boxes for good autoflowering dwarf strains and better SOG strains. ~peace

  • I don't understand what the hose coming out of the bottom is for

  • @wcfennell probably a guage for the water level

  • Does the pump remain on during off (lights) hrs?

  • stolen from instructables

  • NIce system I think its real informative

  • aeroponics is complicated and all you did was a slide show? you should definutely repost this as a video.

  • this music sounds like it should be for"how to make a pipe bomb" instead of this.

  • @sniped101 i think you watch alot of modern marvels?

  • when the roots get big and start to hang in the water am i losing the effects of aeroponics? is there much difference in performance to a system that has a seprate resovoir so the roots never grow in the resovoir. IS it really worth the extra hassle of having a seperate resovoir or will the root hanging into the solution work just as wll. i personally thought it would be better if the roots dont permanently hang into the solution.

  • @Lunarlaserranging The roots can hang in the water if u have an air pump feeding oxygen to the roots

  • i hate slide shows..put up a vid its so much less copmplicated

  • @sparklerbombg i know right

  • I reccomend everybody trying a horizontal aeroponic grow system for small plants. I am working on one. Its gonna be a large round trashcan with lots of 2" net pots but instead of having plants grow vertically they are going to grow from the side. I will be able to get 200 2" net pots for micro herb production. It will be suitable for small plants like basil. YOu will find the mister on this system he's building only give a side spray which means they must go in between the pots.

  • basil RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT ;)

  • im getting me some dank buds

  • pvc is not food grade.

  • He's right. You could get al sorts of nasty, toxic contaminants that will make the product taste bad and make you sick in the long run.

  • A stainless steel tank would be good.

  • pvc pipe is used in the majority of household water systems in the United States. The pipes ran thru most peoples house walls, the pipes run from the city water to your house, from your well to your house, from 99% of all farm irrigation, etcetc. The list goes on.

PVC pipe is what gives 99% of the U.S. water.

  • ya because of a lot of infrastructure was built before the 21 century. although pvc is most likely fine to use is irrigation or hydroopoincs. polypropylene or polyethylene do not release toxins, etc. into the air when being manufactured or recycled or incinerated (for power) like pvc does. greenpeace has called for an all out ban on pvc. is pvc bad in hyrdo, not likely there is prob more chlorine in the acual water to clean it. which evaporates from water when

  • left in an open container for 24 hours. or better yet use bioplastics if you are able to find products like these.

  • just bought some from lowes plumping dept.

  • Anybody know where to get the sprayers/misters???

  • Home Depot in the plumbing department (or any hardware store). They will be kept with the irrigation system items.

  • shitty music...

  • ya looks good but i have a much better idea. Instead of sprayers and pumps just use a pond fogger to atomize the water and nutrients creating a reservoir full of super fine mist like a smoke machine. I use it and it works extremely well, forget all those stupid holes and connectors. I started tomato plants from seed and they were 4 feet tall in 3 1/2 weeks.

  • So you just use water with nutrients specific to the plant you are growing and then just use a fogger to get the nutrients+water to the dangling plant roots...? I was thinking about that for growing *cough* um tomatoes? *cough* as well. Would that work well for say eight "tomato" plants? I'm seriously asking this. Not joking.

  • ya grow whatever you like.

  • lol im sure you could grow some delicious "tomatoes"

  • @RabidTurkey2k8 tomatoes ? yeah , RIGHT...

  • @RabidTurkey2k8 tomatoes ? yeah , RIGHT...

  • They clog very, very badly from what I've read. (calcium in water).

  • Best to use RO water.

  • hey u should elaborate a lil more on that i would really like to know how to use your method instead this one is a bit difficult

  • just buy a pond fogger without lights on it and put it into the same type of tub used in this video, add hydroponic medium to your mesh pots and add nutes to your RO water then adjust for ph thats it. Take water from the tub and water from the top untill roots reach into reservoir. If you want you can add an airstone.

  • This sites the shit! Keep up the excellent work!

  • If all you pot heads would get into aquaponics you could grow in the open, slip a plant in between your tomatos and cucumbers and save the world. You are the real pros.

  • @circadiantao I like you idea.

    "where did that come from?"

That is what I will tell the wife if she sees it!

  • @circadiantao lol I wish it was that easy

  • How loud is EcoPlus 264 pump?? How many dB's?

    Please answer!

    thanks a lot!

  • Not loud at all...The nutrient falling back into the reservoir is kind of loud, but not too loud that it would draw attention tho

  • someone please answer: what is the tube on the oustide of the rubbermaid for? I just built a aeroponic cloner and I dont have one.....

  • it's just to moniter water level, i use it because it's so much easier to know were to fill, and some believe that it has a benificial air flow to the water reservoire, it's not neccesary but some prefer it :)

  • monitoring water level. That's why it's see through

  • little to fast to follow i pause though :P

  • Is the EcoPlus 264 a good pump.. im kinda scared of my pump breaking on me while im on vacation, i have someone watching the plants, to balance Ph and nutrients and stuff like that,, im just worried

  • An EcoPlus264 submersible pump is required otherwise, the poly cut-off nipple will NOT fit. Secondly, the PVC pipe tends to lean to one side because the suction mounts at the bottom of the pump do not remain fixed. After building 5 of these, I can assure you that they do promote aggressive growth. I recommend also mounting the PVC through holes on each side of the tote or building a stand to ensure stability. Make sure that the container is clean or the sprayers will become clogged.

  • I was dancing while I was watching this, it was hard to pay attention.

  • lol

  • lmao !! haha

  • When I was putting this thing together the whole time I was thinking wtf am I making instructions on how to make a bomb or something.....-_-

  • I have found that it is better to use a seperate resovoir as emtying the tank becomes hard and also checking the ph level when using all in one.

  • For emptying the tank/reservoir you can use water level tube, just release tube, pend it and let the water flow into any secondary container. Same whit checking ph.

Just for people that dont have too much space, one container is brilliant!

  • Of course on releasing the tube i mean from upper (and only!) hose clip.

  • Separate reservoir is much better though.
