@MultiS84 Rob Lowe left because he felt he was being underused and he wanted more screentime, so he decided it was better for him to leave. He approved of Robert's exit storyline, he thought this had meaning.

Rob Lowe was a heavy-hitter and special guest star and ratings puller for the show so of course they used him more than Julia, and as for Scotty, he was a guest star in the early seasons and Robert was a main character first so naturally Scotty's screentime fell behind Robert's.

@pinkpuma24 Not just for Kitty and Evan, but Jack and Sophie who lost their Dad, and the Walkers who lost the one person who they always have gone to get them out of trouble. Robert was the steady dependable guy that they looked to for answers in times of crisis.

@Natasha324011 Robert said that Kitty was right, that when they brought Evan home from the hospital, he was afraid that he wouldn't be able to keep up with Evan, but then he saw Kitty holding him, so loving, so strong, that he knew it was all gonna be okay.

@daintyhippie He was talking about an earlier conversation , she said she loves him for his vulnerable side and when Evan was born he would be afraid ot wouldnt be able to keep up after his heart attack. so after the accident he said she was right, he was afraid, until he saw her holding Evan, so strong and so loving.
