  • My mom is Asian and my dad is 1/2 Asian. And I can't understand why people always say Asian can do better.. Actually everyone can do better, not only the Asian, look for Emily Bear or Mozart, they're not Asian, they just play with their heart and practice. Actually some Asian people have the same mind on those kids, just that they're also Asian so they never think that other people would have said "Asian is better"

  • I have been playing violin for almost 5 years now....still wish I was asian....

  • awwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • what her name?

  • my cello master always says that younger students are always much less stressed on the shows than the older ones, that's my comment about the title.

  • Same here, dreamcatcher. I started in the fall and I felt proud I'd made it to the middle of book 2 already. Then I watched little children like this who seem like virtuoso's compared to me. It motivates me to practice harder.

  • @pianobach13 Yep. I felt proud of myself when I "learned" the Haydn after less than a year of playing. Boy, when I got to college and it was very humbling experience. Now with kids like Anina, I am now determined more than ever to catch up.

  • This is suzuki book four. I'm playing this song right now.. and I thought I was pretty good at 13... o.o

  • I played this in 4th grade, at the age of 8. I'm 16 now, and am better than most people my age. By the time she's my age, she'll be a professional.

  • OMG

  • WHAT THE TITlE OF THIS PIECE SHE PLAYING?

  • @specialxk Vivaldi's Concerto in A minor. 1st movement.

  • I'm 12 and she's playing the song I had as my first solo in 5th grade! I had a really hard time with it too!!!

  • Figures, she's Asian

  • maybe your kids don't . but don't speak for everyones, and dont assume this kid has been pressured. most often it's the kids pressuring the parents to play an instrument or ballet dance/iceskate and thier own love for the instrument fuels them on, at this age thier abiolity to pick up a language (and music is just a language) is amazing and only needs a little encouragement.

  • I had a three year old start violin lessons at my school and she wasnt pressured at all she had seen people playing and nagged her mum until she let her come. In fact she was so excited for her first lesson she could barely concentrate, i think if they want to play let them.

  • Stepping out of the "box" of traditional belief ,I'm going to volunteer what my grandmother told me once. She said that talents we had in this life were "carryovers' from other lives! She believed in "reincarnation", as I do.By this theory, a talent or skill can come into play in one life or another. We cannot very often remember these "lives", because the veil is drawn between lifetimes. But it can explain why some are so talented as a young age...it's a remembered skill.....a .random talent~~no!

  • @reachhigh10 possibly the most interesting and intriguing comments on this thread. life is an interesting journey of discovery and realization. thank you for your insight.

  • @reachhigh10 you are so right i loved what you had to say

  • Is this Concerto in A Minor?

  • @SoCalhco545 Yes, by Antonio Vivaldi.

  • I must admit, after all this time, she's my favorite little violinist. Keyword being little, of course. :)

  • I played this song when I started out too! :)

  • Isn't Suzuki learning with pieces and not by reading notes? 'Cuz that's how I started the piano and now I don't read a darned thing, so I wouldn't recommend that.

  • There's research that says the younger the child, the more stimulation their brain craves. So, babies can learn reading, etc. by stimulating their senses especially seeing and hearing.

  • i bet she's from china ! No offense but that's in their culture to push at very young age while she might just wan to play doll with her friends......

  • @flouz2 nah... just far from there X) three guesses are just round for malaysia, singapore, but, far with korea, but still, there is a possibility, or maybe, your intuition is correct, could be from china ... anyhow... enough with races... its all about music... if people will talk about races here to and fro I KILL *evil look... its music not race that we're talking here >,< sorry about this ^^

  • WOW!

  • oh wow she is adorable and awsome i started playing violin in 5th grade i sorta sounded that good in 7th grade but its a big difrence comeing from a 4 yer sheis really talented

  • Omg!!!!!! She's so cute. And good!! I can't believe she's doing that hard of a piece and vibrato at 4YEARS OLD!!!! that is talent.

  • wow!!!!!!!! Bravo!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • wow...excelent...!! I cant imagine...!! Great job lil champ...:u

  • Man, this little girl plays better than me. I've been praticing this concerto for the past 2.5 years and still don't sound this good... LOL...

  • And this is a prodigy. BEAUTIFUL!!!!! She already played better than I play now (after 2 years of learning...), like WAYYY better.

  • so she's like, 9 or 10 now

  • WOW!

  • There is no pressure in succeeding. At this age, the child does not succeed unless he or she wants to and loves what he or she is doing. That is not pressure---that is dedication. Kudos to this little girl whether she continues to play for the rest of her life or not...she is learning to succeed by her own success. Bravo!

  • what's the name of this peace?

    By the way...that was awsome!

  • @Moonsmagicx Vivaldi's concerto in A minor, 1st movement,

  • she's an amazing 4 year old!

  • aww nice job! Bravo

  • shes awesome

  • MAGNIFICANT!!! I WISH NOTHIN BUT SUCESS TO YOU DEAR CHILD , GOD BLESS

  • PRODOGY. she is amazinggg! i played this song when i was eight! but i think she as a four year old played it even better than when i played it when i was eight... amazing stufff she got talenttttt

  • OMG Vivaldi... at 4! I played this concerto when i was 16!

  • This is not suzuki, well they are using the suzuki method, but I started my kid at 4, and he was not able to do that. Two things have to happen for this talent to take place. The parents are probably violinist themselves and the kids are exposed at a young age. And the kid has to have natural talent. Good job on both

  • So was I, my parents tried all they could so they can make me able to sing so I can be a child star and will make money out of me.

Turns out i'm a pianist.... XD

  • SHUT UP! All you Americans are upset just because we immigrants are actually working and doing something other that sitting and eating. We work and that's why most of us are better and superior to Americans. Sorry, I just got so mad on these comments about asians.

  • @Lala12101 Don't sink yourself to their level and please don't group all Americans in one category. I think respect will always win the day.

  • @Lala12101 Asians have a very good work ethic that's better then American youth. I am American and I look at the youth I go to school with and it's quite sad.

  • woa..excellent!

  • @0HEARTLESSPerson0 Yeah i agree...But she is very good...Keep practicing...

  • if she's using suzuki method that's book 4 or 5 O.O

    she's awesome!!!!!!!!!!

  • well i think thats pretty good going for a four yearold

she's better than me when i did it! i think suzuki method is good for little kids

    i started out on it

  • wow that is amazing ..... she can even vibrato....

ik thats from suzuki i rember playing it b4 cant rember the name exactly

concert in a minor ??? mabye i think not sure

  • @attker121 I'm pretty sure that's Corelli Op. 6, No. 3

  • How FANTASTIC!! I've taught this piece to so many children, I have lost count. I would have liked to have heard the difficult section on the 3rd page. I'm sure it would've been great!

    Janice

  • My God!

    Olha o tamanho delaa!

  • WOWOWOW!!!

  • OTROLIGT ,(in swedish) VERRY GOOD!:D

  • Swedish people OWN!!!

  • i think shes chinese... LOL

  • I was talkin bout the dude I replied to lol

  • nice !

    is very good !

  • Shes better than me lol.

  • to SashaStankiewics.... If you take in consideration the small size of the pre-schooler, the violin don't seem so big anymore. Yes the violin is the wrong size for her body size but she seems to handle it better than fine. Plus not to mention how encredibly difficult it would be to convince a pre-school child to fake something like this. I think she was very very good.

  • wow wen im lerning gavotte by Lully i sucked but i manage to play it with 1week practice

  • your just jealous that she's a whole lot better then you!

  • show my one violine(that is as big as the one in the video) that sounds like that.

  • didn't the kid just show you one? come on, please, you are not even a classical musician and you are here to make bold claims. very immature. get lost.

  • true!

  • She's so adorable! ANd really good for being only four years old!

  • amazing!

  • i think she's using suzuki method, that's why she's playing at this age..

  • @pspoverdrive I wish I used the suzuki method, so I wouldn't be so crap at violin at 15. =(

  • ......and. she memorized it.

  • She is amazing, I just cant help feeling that her parents forced her to practice. Im sorry, she's only 4. Who is that dedicated at 4?

  • I was thinking the same thing. Poor kid, 4 years old and she's already being pressure to succeed. At that age kids don't even know how to read.

  • @Danielnoctis she is awesome but i agree with you most of the time there parents make them have no choice and get the poor child to live their expectations

  • @Danielnoctis They do if they are pressured to succeed, as they should be.

  • @Danielnoctis They are not neccesarly always pressured to preform. I have a three year old sister who, after seeing my siblings and I play, wants to now play cello. Most parents do not force their kids, some do but not all.

  • @Danielnoctis I really think you MAY be mistaken. You're taking the stereotypical pressured "perfect" child image and forcing it upon her. You don't really know whether or not she likes to learn violin or not. (And for some people, unless pressure is put upon them, they can never succeed, due to laziness or weak will, etc...) I'm not saying she wasn't forced, but I am saying that you can't judge her or her teacher.

  • @Danielnoctis that is what our hypocritical US government has led us to believe, no corporal punishment and so many rights to let the kids do whatever they want is kind of dumb.. There needs to be a role model to lead the kids.. and i seriously dont see it here.. And what is wrong with wanting your child have a great future? But no.... its wrong? why.. cuz the government says so.. Dont be ignorant..

  • @msbkbloo That's fine and all, though I'm not from the US.

  • @Danielnoctis maybe she likes to play

  • @Danielnoctis if you watch all her other videos, you would realize she loves to play violin, you butt cheek!

  • I can't believe some posters actually criticized this kid.

  • A little squeaky, but excellent for her age, well done.

  • haha, i'd be happy to be able to get any sound out of that violin at all.

  • 1/24 sized violin LOL. who knows >.>

  • haha i played this when i was 15 :(

  • Girl is amazing but wen you play with violin you need show more emotion not concentrate so much.

  • yeah but you need to keep in mind that shes four.

  • c'mon she's only 4 years old....

  • Oh she's soo cute!!

  • I see this was recorded in 2005. I would love to hear what she sounds like now!

  • that's easy if you wanna see her perform now click on the unclePTM link many posted over the years

  • damn, that is amazing

  • uh yeah I felt good when I re-learned this song a few months ago at 21..........

  • Wow...I love the song, and the vibrato is on spot. I may only play the cello, but that was amazing. Its tough to play in front of the class for me, and to do that at the age of 4... Enough said, but I give you a very big congrats on that performance.

  • this was recorded 18 days after my 9th birthday.

  • poor girl, I bet her childhood is just practice, practice, practice...I bet she doesnt play at all. She is good though, she ever has vibrato at 4!! She need to improve her posture, she is really curved, maybe because her violin is too big and shes a bit stiff but other than that it was good!

  • ahem.. by her iq she is a child prodigy

  • i never sed she wasnt

  • Comment removed

  • who cares about musicality when you're four? give the kid a break!

  • WOW! This is really good! I played this for my NYSSMA solo this year (I was supposed to play a level 5, but I didn`t have the music. But I got a perfect score!), and she`s already playing it as a 4 year old. That makes me feel.. weird, haha. But good job! Even the 3rd position parts were good! I wish the video didn`t cut off right there, I would have liked to have heard the 3rd page :D

  • Que hermosa chiquitina!!!! extraordinaria

  • wow, what is the name of this song again??
