@Punkrockfan001 You don't need to collect every dog tag, and only need 3 play throughs on tanker.
Plant requires at least 5 play throughs, but don't even need to collect every single one on extreme if you collected all, or even just most in the previous 4 play throughs.
Tanker: 95% / 100% / 90%
Plant: 100% / 100% / 97% / 100% / 72%
Only need 78 dog tags on tanker and 218 on plant. Unlike the trophy says, you don't need every single dog tag.

I got the MGS3 platinum but this one is a pain. I'm currently at the metal gear rays fight on hard and it is kicking my ass! I can't pass it. I tried over 20x literally and still get killed. There's no way in hell I'm getting this trophy. I'm at 75% trophies. Congrats on your well deserved platinum.

I hear you, I did it on E-extreme with those settings to feel like I had 100% beaten the main game, I got as far as the Solidus choking back in the day, it seems like they scaled back the choking, thank god.
I got close to beating all the MGS1 VR/alternate missions, this time I can do it.
It really was the game that changed how I thought about games entirely.
Yes... This platinum was an immense pain in the ass to get! You have to do all the VR missions and get all the dog tags. Thus forcing you to beat it on extreme difficulty. Best of luck my friend!

the Tanker stealth suit for snake is unlocked after collecting ALL
the dog tags for 3 different difficulties. doesnt matter which. and
the Plant stealth suit you get after getting 120 dog tags. but if you
have the HD version like me. you will need to complete every difficulty
and get all the tags on each for the dog tag trophy. l havnt gotten it yet
that trophy. but l know its gunna take awhile. 5 playtrhoughs minimum
on the Plant. same for the Tanker.

Did you beat E-Extreme too? That was a pain, with game over if discovered, and no radar options.
I think I can get this platinum, but it will take a while.
