I love this movie! Thanks for posting the scene. Is this Michael Mann's first film? James Caan is a master in tough guy acting and how to deliver the lines. The choices he uses with intervals between lines and facial expressions are still emulated by many Hollywood actors today.
1:04 reminds me very much of how DeNiro affects his character in Heat. The sideward glance, the dubious expression, even the way you can hear him inhale before speaking.
