I think that the song pretty much what it's saying is that the only way somebody, male or female, will get over a lost love is if they have somebody else. The more love and appreciation they receive the easier it will be for them to forget what they had with the ex. I'm stuck in this predicament at the moment. The person I love is still stuck loving another person. (Who has done him a lot of wrong), Just sucks really. But I'll stick by his side no matter what he faces. ;o
