The models are really nice, but the lighting is absolutely terrible. You cant tell where the light is coming from most of the time, and in most of the outside scenes it seems to be coming directly from the floor. Lets the piece down a bit.

I thought it was a well thought out and executed story. I don't think we have to know all the details of the situation. What is important is that the character moves beyond the state of inaction to action. In acting, the character forms a new relationship with the world.

great stuff you did with the music. your animation is up there with pixar and the atmosphere created is almost as emotional as Burton's stuff. keep on making more films like this!

though, there is a little thing about the expression of the characters and of the film. to me, it seems that too little is going on and most of the outside viewers will only notice a man walking around. so i would recommend more to be happening and more emotional build-up. other than that, its excellent!

You manage to convey a great deal of emotion though the character's face alone. Natural looking facial movements are no easy task to animate, and you nailed it. Although I like the song (I recently learned to play it), I think it would be even better if you subtly modified each round (every eight measures). Just a select number of well-placed notes or power chords would give the song a nice progression and make the repetition less prominent. This project shines with quality - excellent work!

This is an example that a storytelling work doesn't necessarily need a big and complex story in order to be interesting and inspiring and to captivate someone's attention.

Maybe it is all about that man's indecisiveness on what to do during a particular moment of his life but it contains more than the eye can meet.

Beautiful animation - style, lighting, music, and motion combine in creating a powerful emotion here. We don't feel torn with him, but we can see that he is, and that makes us feel sympathy. I liked that the flower was a tulip rather than a rose - it's one of many little touches that move the piece away from stereotype and into a tale which stands on its own.

Another rendition of an old and tired story with an inevitable outcome. What bothered me most is that you didn't credit Yann Tiersen for the music that carried this film on its keys.

This was probably inspired by a story you grew up with, which i respect. But love and choice has happened to billions of people. Perhaps with more life experience, your work will express deeper insights into the human condition. The bones for a good piece are here, but it needs some meat (so does the character).
