  • Cock of the walk, one could say.

  • anyone that has cock fights, ought to have the loser crammed up his ass

  • 8:39 Wow, Sun Tzu isn't Japanese, he's Chinese....also quit being one of those westerners who turns Oriental practices into some mysterious Zen experience

  • Fighting Rooster sounds - Call in the ASPCA. If they are fighting birds they need to be shut down. Removing a rooster's spur and replacing it with a razor is just wrong. Then putting them to fight for bettting purposes or just for enjoyment - how can someone watch this sort of thing for fun?

  • how do chickens stay alive, they are so noisy!

  • @Laurencia7 - Do you think that they are noisier than us? Or is it just that they are noisy when we have crashed out and don't want noise?

  • @verticalsmurf no in general they are noisy animals and creatures hunt them and it would be easy, since they make so much noise.

  • @Laurencia7 - Maybe we are from different continents. Around here, the only predators we have on chooks are snakes, can't do anything about them, foxes, and feral cats. Fences and shutting the coop at night sorts that out.

We usually don't have a cock as part of the flock unless they are for breeding purposes. Most people here who keep chooks keep them for eggs, the birds get named and are almost pets. They are loud at dawn and dust, but all birds are, so they just kind of mix into the noise.

  • @verticalsmurf LOL but in general, if they were wild they would be eaten more because they are so noisy. they have been domesticated for 7-9 thousand years. I had many chickens, they often got eaten even in their coops by raccoons.

  • @Laurencia7 - Blame it on the chooks, if they weren't so tasty, they wouldn't be eaten. Do the original wild chooks still exist? Where did they come from? How did they survive for so long being noisy and tasty?

If you have a decent coop, how can a raccoon get in?

My grandparents used to have chooks, I stayed at their place during school holidays. I miss the sound of chooks in the morning.

  • @verticalsmurf Hahaha I don't know how they survived... because we took them in. They are from India and China. They were wild there thousands of years ago. I doubt any wild ones exist anymore. It was a great coop, but raccoons are highly smart and find ways to get in.

  • My wife and I watched the whole show on PBS one night. I think my wife peeed her pants we were laughing so hard. What makes it even funnier is the fact that it wasn't made to be funny.

  • the guy at 8 min mark obviously hasn't met my flock of 76 chickens... i have 10 different roosters full grown from 24 ounces to 13 pounds.... they all get along. its the hens that fight in my flock, especially the broodies.

  • If you live in the country dont complain about noise from agricultural animals. Plus this guy never said that he fought the cocks just that he raised them they were saying that he fought cocks. Just because you love the beauty of roosters doesnt mean you fight them

  • @LeghornBreeder I am totally with you there about most of this--- It's unfair to move to the country and then try to change it into the suburbs. However, more than ten roosters gets really loud and annoying, honestly. Any kind of constant racket is unfair to neighbors. Even ATV's , dirt bikes and tractors dont go off hundreds of times a day. Consideration for your neighbors IS A TRUE RURAL TRADITION. Live and let live depends on it

  • Guy around 8:50 says Sun Tzu was Japanese. No, he was Chinese.

  • LOL I loved the Rooster Impressions.... but really, did they need that footage?

  • Gotta love the impressions of the Moon Rooster!

  • This is an extremely strange documentary.

  • He's a hilarious director, that's why! You never know what he's up to...He uses humor and he obviously stretches the literal truth - but I still trust him - it's like a mocumentary but it's not.

  • Sun Tzu was chinese not japanese, fucking uneducated journalists!

  • omg 2:15 ish, what a fruit cake lol

  • Nevermind the cock fighting people - did you see the guy imitating the rooster mating dance. I was losing it!

  • I know what those people mean im getting annoyed just from them talking over the rooster croak or whatever but them again im pregnant lol

  • No one who loves animals fights them. They would never consider it a "kid." Bobby Webb is nothing but cruel, evil, and trashy. And he lied about them only crowing at daybreak and evening. Yes, they crow more then, but they will crow at any other time. Animals should be loved and cared for, not fought and mistreated.

  • Did the webbs thought they werent going to get caught or something LOL Wow... Karmas a bitch!!

  • llllllllol

  • Yeah living next door to 50 cocks would be hard for anyone

  • So, how could you eat the chickens, when you recognize their personality differences?

  • If he is part of a cycle, when does he get his head chopped off and his corpse eaten?

  • The impressions from that guy were hilarious.
