I could have ground my own beans and pulled you three espressos from my Gaggia machine in the time it took you to do that. And the quality would be far superior (those machines produce a fake crema from stale coffee). You can pick up a reconditioned machine off Gaggia for a decent price, too. You don't have to spend a fortune for a god shot.
it's easier if you sieve the cocoa so that you can make it thicker. And the hotel i stayed in Royal plaza on scotts singapore had the same machine it was for free so every morning i will drink at least two cups of it so delicious.

Yes, all coffee is packaged and shipped, but ground coffee in 11oz packs takes up 1/8 of the space as the same coffee in boxes of capsules. More space means more trucks/ships etc for the same amount of coffee.
I work for Nespresso, and if you would know what kind of tests all the beans etc would go through, you'd be surprised it only costs 3.50€ a package average
If you really want to save money get a coffee plunger. I bought a Nespresso for the convenience - especially in the mornings. I am sticking to Nespresso capsules.

For all the work, time, materials and mess, you may as well not use a single serve system at all. The whole point is you let the capsule take care of all that for you, and with consistency, freshness and quality control. Once you consider refilling single-serve containers, you are better off with a semi-auto espresso machine.

These same volitiles that give the coffee aroma are actively removed before the coffee is packed into pods. If they aren't removed first, the pods swell and pop.

En, fin, no si habeis oido la bomba como suena. No se si es una buena idea. Ya que la maquina esta preparada para trabajar a unos ciertos bares y aqui al prensar demasiado el cafe es posible que estropeemos la máquina. @kinotron Nespresso cuenta con un sistema de reciclaje de cápsulas, que intuyo será ecológico-efectivo. Ojo con no caer en lo absurdo por aquello del respeto al medioambiente. Además, si lo analizamos desde tu punto de vista, es más perjudicial el gasto en papel plata (has visto todo lo que requiere por cápsula), que a más gasto/demanda más fabricación, más transporte... y por ende más contaminación por emisión de gases. Y lo peor de este DIY... el derroche de agua con cada lavado de cápsula.

A mi me parece una muy buena idea. Un paquete de café de los de toda la vida de 250 gr. vale 2 euros y con esto te sale 10 veces más caro. Cada uno tiene sus vicios y si hay quien se quiere gastar los cuartos es libre de hacerlo y si hay quien quiere ahorrar no veo por qué hay que ridiculizar a nadie. Es interesante decir que vender el café Bonka de Nescafé metido en una capsulita por un precio 10 veces más caro, allá cada cual. Claro que comprarlas es más cómodo pero si no te importa hacerlo...

That's almost like going into starbucks with your own milk... lol. although knowing SB's they'd probably charge extra for being a smartass. Nice idea but there are bacteria issues associated with this technique. Wouldn't recommend reusing a capsule more than 3 times and always start with a new one everyday. No pint getting sick for the sake of a few pence.
You pressed the cofee too much I think, this is why it's not flowing well. I've been using this technique, but sometimes the machine won't work, it will be droping like on the vid.

The coffee has to have the volitiles removed before it can be packed in those pods.
Anyone who knows anything about coffee is it tastes best when freshly ground. After a while the grounds lose their aroma, due to the volitiles going off into the air.
These same volitiles that give the coffee aroma are actively removed before the coffee is packed into pods. If they aren't removed first, the pods swell and pop.

no creo que nadie haga esto, ni que haya libre mercado, la gracia de consumir nespresso es que parece que es algo exclusivo que no está al alcance de todos. Si lo convertimos en algo que puedes hacer en casa y que puedes comprar en el super de al lado de tu casa deja de ser exclusivo... y la gracia se perdería, al igual que las ventas...
de todas formas tardas mucho mas preparando la capsula "pirata" que poniendo la original y bebiendote el cafe... y se debe enguarrar mucho, no?

es ingenioso pero lo que acabás de hacer es re de rata...y peligroso.. no te pusiste a pensar que el papel de aluminio es mucho más liviano que el recubrimiento verdadero de la cápsula y al perforarlo la máquina puede traspasar pedacitos de aluminio al café? además, lo que le contestás a la gente acerca de la "libre competencia" para mí no es así porque lo que vale de la nespresso no es la máquina en sí ni la cápsula, sino la selección de cafés de alta calidad que presentan..eso es lo que vale!

como curiosidad esta bien, el saber no ocupa lugar... xo para tomarte un cafe cualquiera como el dl video comprate el de dos cucharitas al agua, remover y listo... Nespresso lo que se curra son la variedad y tipo de cafe, la cantida de cafe en una capsula va pesada, igual que la cantidad de cafe que sale de la moledora de un buen restaurante, va pesada. En, fin, no si habeis oido la bomba como suena. No se si es una buena idea. Ya que la maquina esta preparada para trabajar a unos ciertos bares y aqui al prensar demasiado el cafe es posible que estropeemos la máquina. Por no decir que si se pone el papel de aluminio no muy bien, podemos generar un atasco en la máquina, en la salida del agua. Y para esto te compras una máquina de cazillo y ya tienes cafe barato

pués yo lo veo muy bien, además me costo 45€ solo la nespresso,jej, esta empresa se hace de oro si nadie saca alguna opción distinta, yo particularmente compro un café especial que ninguna cápsula original lo tiene, además recien molido por mí.
Para el que quiera aprovechar más días las capsulas que la coloque siempre con uno de los agujeros que hace la maquina hacia arriba centrado, así siempre
agujerea en el mismo sitio y dura más, además de salir más bueno, no es broma.

That is the most stupid thing I have ever seen. First of all, that box with coffee he has there, will be bad within a week when, probably even sooner when/if its espresso grinded. The entire point with nespresso is that it is air-tightly-sealed right after it is grinded, so that the coffee does not go bad. Genius concept.
Probably an easy way to destroy your machine as mentioned, you also get far less quality coffee, the entire point with buying a nespresso is to get quality coffee.

Why to pay more for a Nespresso machine if you don't use nespresso coffee? there are cheaper machines in which you can use any coffee and you don't need all this bricolage.
The idea of a capsule is to have the best coffee in the best conservation conditions.

@kinotron Nespresso cuenta con un sistema de reciclaje de cápsulas, que intuyo será ecológico-efectivo. Ojo con no caer en lo absurdo por aquello del respeto al medioambiente. Además, si lo analizamos desde tu punto de vista, es más perjudicial el gasto en papel plata (has visto todo lo que requiere por cápsula), que a más gasto/demanda más fabricación, más transporte... y por ende más contaminación por emisión de gases. Y lo peor de este DIY... el derroche de agua con cada lavado de cápsula.

Se tiene que ser vago y tener mucho tiempo para hacer eso , ademas , no estamos hablando ... ademas se deja de hablar de lo mas importante , el cafe , el cafe de nespresso es un cafe gourmet , a nivel mundial hay muy poca prodccion de gourmet ... no conseguiras un cafe de la misma calidad NESPRESSO , que rellenandolo con cafe de lata expuesto al oxigeno y a la humedad ..
Sin hablar claro del aluminio que utilizas entre otras cosas ...
Para mi sencillamente es un vago .

A mi me parece una muy buena idea. Un paquete de café de los de toda la vida de 250 gr. vale 2 euros y con esto te sale 10 veces más caro. Cada uno tiene sus vicios y si hay quien se quiere gastar los cuartos es libre de hacerlo y si hay quien quiere ahorrar no veo por qué hay que ridiculizar a nadie. Es interesante decir que vender el café Bonka de Nescafé metido en una capsulita por un precio 10 veces más caro, allá cada cual. Claro que comprarlas es más cómodo pero si no te importa hacerlo...

@jobloblaya No es ser agarrao, si te quedas un dia sin cafe te puedes dar el lujo de tomarte un cafe, aparte si la gente te da capsulas y t ecompras un cfe bueno, de los que vale un riñon tienes un cafe muy bueno en menos de un minuto de tiempo! Yo lo hago, pierdes 2 minutos en rellenar una y si es cafe bueno mere la pena. Un saludo!

That's almost like going into starbucks with your own milk... lol. although knowing SB's they'd probably charge extra for being a smartass. Nice idea but there are bacteria issues associated with this technique. Wouldn't recommend reusing a capsule more than 3 times and always start with a new one everyday. No pint getting sick for the sake of a few pence.

Y si al final acabas rellenando las capsulas con café dl supermercado, qué sentido tiene l haber comprado esa cafetera?Además creo que no sale a cuento rellenar las capsulas primero xq el precio oscila entre 0,33 y 0,37. You cant put cheap ass coffee in a used capsule or for that matter any other coffee and re use it and get good results it doesn't work that way first of all once you open a big bag of coffee to re use capsules the freshness is gone the next day second every color from nespresso has a distinctive taste and you cant even begin to mach it ....... Estoy de acuerdo. Pero, si bien el café es excelente, lo malo es la cafetera que, al menos a mi, se me estropeó al dia siguiente de vencer la garantia y la reparación me costó media cafetera.

I see what you're trying to do after having gone through a lot of 50-60 cent Nespresso capsules, which mounts up. But the whole point is the flavor of Grand Crus in the capsule. To me, it's worth the price, especially in North America where good coffee is hard to come by!
