As a Catholic conservative I also agree with 99% of what you say, but I have to disagree with you on stem cell. Up until last December when my 13 year old brother was diagnosed with a rare and fatal bone marrow disease I was opposed to it. However now that its one of his only chances at a long life Im an avid supporter of it..I came to see that there is more to it then just embryos, its much more extended then that. Yes, but you're not killing one life. Million of lives are lost. If you're killing millions of innocent lives in order to save your own, what value has your life gained? Instead of making constant attempts to prolong our lives, we could save time and money by accepting that death comes to everyone, and appreciate the days you have been given. There are other ways to find cures that don't involve any loss of life.

Because the GOP has no real desire to see Roe overturned. Its a great election issue for them. Think for a moment: If the GOP were serious about stopping the "murder" of "unborn children" (their terms), why would they take the indirect route of stacking the court when they could simply push for a constitutional amendment? Its been 36yrs and the GOP hasn't even attempted it. GOP voters are content with the continuing failure but the rest of us have to question if folks like macho really believe?

Fact: There were 6 GOP appointed and 3 DEM appointed justices on the court in 1973. Fact: Of the 7 voting for abortion rights, 5 were GOP justices. Thus the GOP brought you Roe, not the DEMs. Now Question: Since having GOP justices is clearly no guarantee to overturn Roe, why has that failing strategy been pursued for 36yrs?

U are right sir. Embryonic stem cell research is wrong. I do agree with cloning human body parts(only) though. That way it'll be easier for transplants. And adult stem cell research is good because adult can make that choice.
As for your audio, I think all you'd really need is some sound-deadening foam to cut down on the bad acoustics of that room. Being that you're a musician (as am I) I'm sure you're familiar with that kind of foam. Oh and I'm not sure if you're using an external mic or not, but if your camera has a mic input, maybe getting a small condenser mic and clipping that to your shirt could help too. I think it just comes down to deadening the reverberations and perhaps a better mic. Just some thoughts.

The Boston Tea Party was a protest of taxation without representation. They were protesting the imperial oppression of a Monarch.
The tax party movement today is protesting a DEMOCRATICALLY elected executive executing the economic plan that fits his voting record and campaign promises.

Also, many of the founding fathers were agnostic or downright atheist. As a Catholic conservative I also agree with 99% of what you say, but I have to disagree with you on stem cell. Up until last December when my 13 year old brother was diagnosed with a rare and fatal bone marrow disease I was opposed to it. However now that its one of his only chances at a long life Im an avid supporter of it..I came to see that there is more to it then just embryos, its much more extended then that. Yes, but you're not killing one life. Million of lives are lost. If you're killing millions of innocent lives in order to save your own, what value has your life gained? Instead of making constant attempts to prolong our lives, we could save time and money by accepting that death comes to everyone, and appreciate the days you have been given. There are other ways to find cures that don't involve any loss of life.

Because the GOP has no real desire to see Roe overturned. Its a great election issue for them. Think for a moment: If the GOP were serious about stopping the "murder" of "unborn children" (their terms), why would they take the indirect route of stacking the court when they could simply push for a constitutional amendment? As for your audio, I think all you'd really need is some sound-deadening foam to cut down on the bad acoustics of that room. Being that you're a musician (as am I) I'm sure you're familiar with that kind of foam. Oh and I'm not sure if you're using an external mic or not, but if your camera has a mic input, maybe getting a small condenser mic and clipping that to your shirt could help too. I think it just comes down to deadening the reverberations and perhaps a better mic. Just some thoughts.

I think your book will do great becuase that is what make you great you take and hours worth of information and condense it to 5 to 10 minutes

The Boston Tea Party was a protest of taxation without representation. They were protesting the imperial oppression of a Monarch.
The tax party movement today is protesting a DEMOCRATICALLY elected executive executing the economic plan that fits his voting record and campaign promises.
I'm not saying don't protest at all, but comparing your disagreement with a popular elected official to unfair taxation imposed by an oversea monarch is hyperbole that distracts legitimate political dialogue.

Apple, Always appreciate a civil reply. I understand the historical differences. Please understand; 1) Conservatives have felt unrepresented for a long time. Bush was not a Conservative!
2) Tax payers fear we are falling into the trap where the majority do not see themselves as paying taxes (though an illusion) and vote for someone they think will give them stuff from the public coffers.
Situational differences or not, the New Tea Party movement is here and is likely to grow!

2. So I guess its kind of like taxation without equal representation, In that some people have representation without taxation but they have just as much say as you. Taxpayers interests are underrepresented.
Thinking more critically i felt like it was taxation without representation becuase both viable candidates voted for the bailout.

applepie1e, the original Boston Tea Party was intentionally to piss off the monarch so that he would do something stupid (which he did) so that more people would get on the freedom band wagon. We have just as much right today to protest against democratically elected/legislated or judicial fiat of infringements on our freedoms.

For the time being, I am a socialist. However, when we are out of this economic mess I will probably shift farther right economically, because I do favor a free capitalist market when it works.

How about a Colorado Dem proposing a bill giving illegal aliens the right to go to CO universities for the same tuition prices as in-state residents. The illegal aliens can't get a job legally, so why should they be able to go to a college legally when they are breaking the law being here!

I took a job in the school registrar's office my freshman year of college back in '92. It was already the practice here then.
