  • this music will last forever thats a fact right there

  • Led Zeppelin.. And that's enough. This song is fucking perfect!!

  • What the fuck? 21 dislikes. Fuck this generation man!

  • 21 people have absolutely no soul.

  • In the entire Led Zeppelin catalog, Kashmir is the Crown Jewel. There is nothing else like this tune, unsurpassed in the history of rock and roll and all music.

  • this is my minute bell at school.

  • @thor2012 Been there! I have seen the 21 shrunken heads.

  • 21 people are from the Uncontacted tribe found deep in the Amazon rainforest!

  • The most epic song in the entire history of epic songs.

  • To both top comments: yeah his name was John Bonham. He went threw tom skins during shows. Strongest drummer ever. But he's just breathing. I think that was his magic. A unique 100% natural drummer. He was never complex. He was born with it. Metronome precise as well. I measured it. But foremost just plain fun! PatronSaint210 is totally right.

  • I hate you Puff Daddy!!

  • @Skor23WC He couldn't have done it without permission from Page and Plant.

  • This song... Its just so beautiful!

  • Led Zeppelin own LIFE!!! My daughter is named Jamison Paige for obvious reasons..... KICK ASS my friends....

  • If you're starting out on drums this is an awesome song to play to get your movements down and really comfortable with playing. It's such a simple song to learn, but you feel so bad ass playing it haha.

  • good bay am going to the scay argentina argentina argentina argentina

  • the drums... best band ever...

  • top 10 best riffs of all time.

  • dont listen too close or you hear the guitar part during the orchestra part when they are on different keys

  • never forget never forgotten thank you jimmy oh robert you too you old bastard cum on merry x mas

  • Jimmy Page said he put this song together with John without Paul or Robert. The power of just those two main instruments, guitar and drums created one of the bands greatest songs.

Proof that sometimes less is more musically.

  • the force of destiny

  • Jimmy Page is the 2nd Beethoven.

  • @iAMmissMegan But Beethoven is not the second Jimmy Page!

  • Ugh that riff is so fucking good and dark sounding omg

  • I got the Physical Graffiti double LP album when it was first released, and the ENTIRE ALBUM is just about as good as this song. This song is definitely a stand out, for sure, but listening to it in context is even better. Best album from the best rock group of the 70's. Enjoy!! BTW Kashmir is actually a contested region between India and Pakistan, not in Egypt as someone mentioned below. =)

  • This song gives me hope and makes me feel stronger when i feel that everything is falling apart.

  • Actually, even though the riff's pretty epic, song gets boring after 2 or 3 minutes.

  • @lalitoreal I feel the same way. No Quarter, on the other hand, never gets old.

  • @lalitoreal ..i dunno what you're talking about, i literally just listened to this song 4 times in a row.

  • kiss (god of thunder was the first song i ever played on the drums and i was hooked ever since

  • I started to plat this song when i was 7 yrs old (drums ) when i was 17 i finally learned it bonham rocks

  • drove a corvette 150 mph on the highway listening to this song

  • it's epic how such a simple drum riff can make this epic song!!! zeppelin rules!!!!

  • this song is awesome

  • This is awesome

  • first full song i learnt on guitar, when i play the main riffs out loud with my beuaty amplifier they called the police and said to them Led Zeppelin is next door lol

  • This song is so badass.

  • How the fu.k do you come up with lyrics like this, never mind then matching instruments to it. Top 10 of all time for mine.

  • The awesomness of this song rates a 50 out of 10.

  • every time i listen to this song i think of Egypt for some reason

  • @michaeldm2008 Kashmir is located in Pakistan and India

  • @00Andreas00 Isn't that crazy ?

    I mean awesome !

  • @michaeldm2008 me too dude! Freaky

  • Somehow the intro reminded me about Call of Duty...

  • a piu bella canzona di u LED ZEP.

  • the drums in when the levee breaks is better imo

  • @carlrball School* in the 70s..haha

  • Hey Zeppelin Fans. I have a version of me doing Kashmir, as well as Custard Pie, and a bunch of other covers. Come on over and check some out if you have time.

    youtubeDOTcom/morbidmanmusic

    Peace

  • I was high the 1st time I heard this song and its awesome XD

  • There is NO substitute...copies and remakes abound, but hey, this is the REAL DEAL! Long live Led Zeppelin! ;-)

  • The drums, OMFG the drums! Holy shit!

  • @Nahash5150 try Zeppelin's "When the levee breaks" for some a crushing drum groove

  • Epicness.

  • WHEN I HEAR THIS SONG I REMEMBER CRUISEING GRATIOT IN ROSEVILLE

MICHIGAN BACK IN 1978 A LONG TIME A GO !!!!!!!!!!!

  • Played little league, had this played before i would hit!!

  • this song makes me feel... happy... this is some really good shit! unlike the stupid songs that peapole write nowadays to make money. they all sound the same and the texts are boring. to everyone who listens to artists like lady gaga usher and justin bieber: wake up and face the truth!

  • not to be a troll but u totally love bieber don't deny it also youtube has built in spell check pleas use it and there not called texts there lyrics but i share in you feelings although probably not on the same basic and i really don't care this much about your comment i just get tired of trying to read some actual conversations that get constantly interrupted by this same generic hate witch by the way is just as bad as what yours hatting against

  • @broman1761 *please *they're *which *hating

  • BEST.ALBUM.EVER.

  • I am a traveler of both time and space..

  • this song has JP Jones keyboards AND strings and horns??

  • @44eelz nah, it's all jonesy's keyboard. but isn't that fucking fantastic?

  • @EditableMesh are you sure? I was under the impression it was an orchestra and that the keyboard was used only live.

  • @Mortifago, I have a broad knowledge of music and I have never herd of any of them bands. Kashmir was recorded and released in early seventies and its still being played today weather on here or on radio, there are way more positive comments than negative and its still a quality song. These "bands" you have mentioned will die of death soon and their music will die with them, cause they write different music to bands i mentioned. Sellout music. Pure crap. Just for money.

  • @fleckey299 you a claim a broad knowledge of music but haven't heard of Dream Theater? They are pretty well known. And there ARE bands creating great art. (Not claiming Dream Theater is one of those). You just won't find it on the radio majority of the time. You're looking in the wrong places my friend. Get your head out of the sand man. BTW I LOVE Zeppelin, Stones, Beatles etc. to death.

  • Bands nowadays make music to make money whatever sells they make it. F**king sellouts. Zeppelin, queen, Ozzy, stones, beatles make whatever music they could, f**k weather it sold or not they just enjoyed it! Zeppelin is prime example only selling albums, dont get me wrong they loved the money, they just loved music and girls. I wish i was born in that era and not be 28 in this era.

  • @fleckey299 Tell that to bands like Between The Buried and Me, Porcupine Tree, Opeth, Dream Theater (just to name a few). Come on man! Listen to some music before criticizing, you are generalizing.

  • One of the greatest songs ever!!

  • i`ve never been a Zeppelin fan, never really listened to`em, although i listen to a lot of other bands, never this one, i regret that..

  • was this very huge when it came out?

  • @msskool Heck yeah!!! A true CLASSIC!!!!! One of the greatest!!!!!

  • @msskool

it wasn't a single. "Trampled Under Foot" was. So you had to listen to the whole album to come across this one. But, man was it worth the wait!!!

  • why was I born into this godawful generation? I hate the talent-less music, the cars, the way of life... I wish I could be sitting in a basement with a few friends, listening to vinyl records......

  • Justin who?

  • Haha, reminds me of Fast Times at Richmont High. xD In the car...LOL.

  • @exposingthemachine um, shut up?

  • If that ain't some bad ass drumming, I don't know what is

  • This has got epic all over it. Id walk through the forest, creating a euphoric beat among emerald green and be alone but feel oh so alive!!!! Long Live Led Zeppelin!!!

  • Why are we talking about Justin Bieber on a Led Zeppelin song?

  • Justin Beiber can eat my shit, this song rocks!

  • devastante..suprema..pluriorgasmica..divina..

  • I used to cruise in my beautiful 72 Monte Carlo jamming to this song in the cassette player and tripping on some good acid. Man to have those carefree days back...

  • @WhiteLakeDan my dad had one of those!!!

  • this song is just plain awesome :D

  • @JustinBieberBest11 Good job on your grammar. Except for not capitalizing the "is". Grammar Nazi :D...Oh yeah, you keep on beliebing<---------(yes I did that on purpose) in your Justin Bieber music, and see where life takes you... Good luck.(:

  • @JustinBieberBest11 Just this song beats all "music" of Justin Gayber...

  • That we are unable build a band like Led Zeppelin anymore, lets us all know that the West if falling into a cesspool of its own corruption & moral filth.

  • is this song the best ever? quite possibly

  • Jimmy Page is the man and Les Paul Gibson is the axe!

  • Pure genius. One of rock's greatest masterpieces.

  • ツツツツツ

  • To me...THE Greatest Rock Band of ALL TIME!

  • OK, stupid nine people who thumbs downed this. Name an awesomer, more creative rock song in the last half century. I dare ya. I double dog dare ya.

  • @Rorschach65 Not to be a dick, but not all of Zepplin's stuff was as original as they would have you believe. Many of their classic songs have borrowed lyrics, guitar riffs, or both, and without the necessary acknowledgements of the creators. Not to take away from the band at all, but it's totally true. Look it up.

  • @Monkeyfro4

What drives this myth that Led Zeppelin somehow "ripped off: old blues masters is the hypocritical multiculti narrative of the left. If a white guy pays homage to the blues greats, he is "ripping them off," but if a black rapper samples from rock music, like Jimmy Pages, for example, he is an artist. Well, just like literature, music is not created in a cultural vacuum.

  • @Rorschach65 I wasn't trying to start anything, but take Stairway to Heaven. The beginning guitar riff, maybe the most famous song opening in history, is not original. They took it without credit; not from some nameless blues man, but from a band they opened for when they started out. And stealing is different from sampling; if you sample, credit is given to whomever you sampled from. Unless you're Vanilla Ice.

  • @Monkeyfro4 Are u refering to the band spirit? i read that, i never heard their song ,but what did their guitar riff do for themselves? not an argument but this shit is getting old!

  • @MegaZephead Not quite sure what you're trying to say; but let me say this: stealing is stealing, even if the person who you stole from wasn't using what you took

  • @Rorschach65 led had to be sued by willie dixon in 1987 to get back millions of dollars back from the song he wrote for muddy waters call you need love

  • @Monkeyfro4

Alright, you might have a valid point. Never heard that claim before. But you have to admit that they are extremely talented musicians. I've never heard anything before like Kashmir in rock history. Immigrant Song stands out as unique, as does No Quarter, Battle of Evermore, they may not have invented every genre they played in, but they were still pioneers. Synthesizing art forms is its own type of genius.

  • ..my very first concert in my life...i was 15 and it was in munich...so fantastic...great band!!

  • I think some of the lyrics aren't quite right...

  • This is the best zep song

  • @JustinBieberisGOD1

Really ironic that you like Led Zeppelin, yet your username has the abomination to music in it.

  • @ThePurpleEnchilada hmmm i disagree, only because Sean 'Diddy" Combs is, in fact, the greatest abomination to music.

  • @ThePurpleEnchilada haha nice burn

  • If plant says this is the best song zep EVER recorded! i have to believe him!!!!!!!! sorry mr. plant i have too many to choose from!!!!!!!!! lol

  • lol....Kashmir is in India, you dumb fuck

  • @yyburbridge I wouldnt say that, it remains a highly desputed area!

  • This is my ALL time favorite song!

  • I get flashbacks of hiking and driving through Death Valley National Park when listening to this song.

Death Valley is so barren and desolate, yet beautiful and serene at the same time.

  • STILL get goosepimples when I hear this. Fuckin awesome.

  • Very rare for a band to have as many "epic masterpieces" as they do.

  • @LedWilde

It is very rare - but may be that is why they are the greatest band ever. When these Giants walked the earth, they shook every thing in their midst....

  • this song makes me walk in slow motion

  • Bonzo is the best drumer in the world
