this sounds just as good to me at 42 years old as it did when I was 15 and in high school the best word to describe Stevie forever is PHENOMINAL......
I've been in love with Stevie's music since I'm a kid - I'm 42 now ! & I love love love every single note (all put together !) he has made up. I love Jazz, Ahmad Jamal, Kenny Garret, Trane, but Stevie is Stevie : WONDERFUL
I love him too much too. And I always thougth a person so complete, an artist so sensitive is always improving with aging. I mean I love more today than yesterday.
at 2:53 (I think) you hear Stevie say "Let him in here". I'm gessing someone walked in the studio while recording that Stevie deemed respectable enough to allow in during a recording process. I wonder who Wonder let in?
Legends are legends and any decade, era, timepiece, century, lightyear, whatever, they are gonna come with some jams! Stevie stands the test of time, no matter when and no matter how! He has touched all of lives some kind of way and wrote a song that has spanned the test of any time! I'm LGKids and I approved this message! Peace and just enjoy the jam! Anybody that adlibs "maybe three much" is not up for debate, but up for applaud's!
replaying this song in my head got me through my tour in iraq along with other stevie hits!!! it helped me focus on the mission because it reminded me of the people that i love "3 much" and my reason for getting out of the combat zone in one piece! stevies' music has magical, metaphysical, electrifying properties and a timeless quality about it. simply said stevie wonder creates miracles in the form of sound and song!!! Long Live Wonder!
@wonea Conversation Peace was not a "poor album," it did not do well commercially...if you really listen to the album, I mean really listen not just hear it, you will realize it was waay ahead of it's time...even now people are not spiritually, emotionally, and mentally ready for what SW has to offer through his music.
@brunodosreis81 : I agree. I think it has something to do with the digital technology used nowadays. Also, it doesn't help that this particular recording is not rendered in stereo.
maybe what miro5753 is saying is that it wouldn't even be POSSSIBLE to do over & over , unless you were willling to be satisfied w/copying , replicating, re-creating.
Is S.Wonder trying to be current ? IS he just opening up to see what comes out?
Is he INCREDIBLE , WONDERFUL, GREAT ?
I want to hear more from him from each era .
LOVE IT . Love it all .Love his music from the 60s, LOVE his music from the 70s , from the 80s , the 90s , etc.,etc.,etc,...
"hear" I am again & I won't be going anywhere until this INCREDIBLE jam is over.AND THEN I MAY JUST HAFTA hit replay AGAIN ! **~ JOY~ ** itself ,, this man's music....!
Couldn't agree more - to know Stevie's music is to be astonished beyond belief. In any case, to quote Mae West, too much of a good thing can be wonderful!
the truth of the matter is that one shoud not compare the 60 s with the 70 s or the 70 s with the 80 s ... music is always becoming....each era was right for the specfic time the circumstances of each era dictates the music that s written.
Stevie Wonder is a legend that will live on forever! My mom put me onto him, I put my kids onto him & they will turn their kids on to him! Stevie Wonder is the greatest!!

Agreed Stevie didn't have a bad era although Conversation Peace was a poor album. A Time To Love was a welcome return to form.

I love new technology, but I really feel that the sound quality of recordings went a step back in the period 1980-1995. It all sounds so THIN.

a) 60's
b) 70's
c) 80's
d) 90's (Jungle Fever was the ish !!!)
I think he was the best in all of these times!!!
