I take my insoles from previous shoes and put them in as well as the stock insole and it really helps for cushion and wont hurt your feet

I had Chukka Lows they're a pretty good shoe. Only thing I don't like about them is there is almost no padding in the heel. But I might get them again soon.

i had the same Emerica's and i loved them, i like the soles that came with them.

I have the newer hsu's which have better soles so they don't hurt at all. Thought that might be because I stole the red heel pad off the Carrol selects. I'm not sure if the MJ2 have them but if they do I would recomend you take them out when your done wearing that shoe and put them into any future shoes you get. Helps any Vulc with padding.

If u didn't already get new shoes, I would check out supra. A lot of the shoes they make are made out of a super durable synthetic material called tuf. Its made so that that sole of the shoe outlasts the upper of the shoe. All supras come with suprafoam which blows dr scholls and sti soles out of the water, so they are very comfortable. Supra is also good cuz their shoes are for the most part are real unique. So you get ur moneys worth. I've have 2 pairs of supra and I love them.

But i dont like supras anymore though.The newer supras arent that good. The durability isn't as good as it used to be. I had a pair os skytop 2's and within two weeks or almost no skating in them, the midsole started to peel away from the outsole.

and the best shoe i've ever skated is the Emerica Herman 2's cupsole that skates like a vulc. best impact support and great grip. check those shits out. and the g-codes just came out (herman 3's). either one would be a great pick.

yeah i mean i did a chest high loading dock (so around 4 feet or so atleast) w/ the herman 2's and there was no pain whatsoever... and i had dunk high premium's and they skate great and shit. but your feet get VERY hot and sweaty with the mids too. so just beware of that.

UGH god I hate that rippling in vans shoes too. You'd think they would fix that. But I fix that just by putting a little shoe goo under the rippling parts and hold it down for a few seconds and it never does it again.
