you can always demostrate if a stupid song is a great song, just play it in a rock version, and if it works, then you'll be playing a great classic. for example, "hit me baby one more time" is a naif song, that was sung by a very stupid singer, but try to play it like Travis does... You'll realize that the composer of that tune is a fucking genious, it's just that the song was recorded by the wrong singer... and this is an example of an apparently silly song , but try rocking that tune...
