@Sunagaukre nah, the Anime was overdone with emotion-plastered unneeded moments along with a sucky ending, this movie took out most of the sappy overdone emotional moments, and kept what was needed, also gave a much better and believable ending

The translation is way off...the "You're alive!" part ("Ikite itai no; suki na hito ga iru no") should really be "I want to live! There is a person I love".

I've seen it and all I can say is this movie is a disappointment, no doubt about it. Nothing extravagant that you haven't seen anywhere else. The story could have been better, specially the love part. The guy's annoying! Like he's the pre-madonna of hopeless love

wow movie release was 01/28/2006, and cummon guys the anime is a wonderful concept, but of course they would make it more dramatic its a bloody live action dont by real actors, and im sure the producers would wish it to be dramatic while ignoring the manga writers who made the series, they made a movie to sell in the theater in japan.

But no doubt it is interesting to see what they will say about her in a closer look. But i still hope they keep the focus on the love story because that IS what Saishu Heiki Kanojo (Saikano) is all about, Dont Forget that.

But you dont understand. I am an illistrator for Manga and the reason they dont get technical is to keep you focused on the love story. thats also why they didnt show alot of the battles. But luckily they came out with an OVA( Another Love Song ) its a different perspective of the story. (military point of view)

but the effects are much more wonderful than the anime... and also how they explained her PHYSICALITY as a weapon is much intensive than the anime where it was not fully explained what she was... which kinda detaches you from touching with the sense of the film.
