  • would you recommend a ima mkIV untouched and would i have to register it great videos

  • @khyberpassgunsmith

I would highly recommend an IMA MKIV and I don't believe you'd need to register it either. In most states the rules for a gun this old are the same as a muzzle loader.

  • @ginsboy2003 ok thanks looking to get one and some reloading equipment so i can have some fun.

  • In regards to the wood... Underneath all the grease and grime, does the wood appear to have some sort of a higher grade? ie somewhat tiger striped or marbled?

  • @cibmog

The wood appears to be just standard grade. The fore stock of the MK II does seem to have some sort of striped pattern on it though.

  • The use of these rifles were stopped in the 1880's as they were replaced by the first series of Lee Enfield bolt action rifles.

  • Great Vid! Made me sad though... was wanting to do the same thing when I get my MkIV and Snider in a week or so. Here I was looking foward to having the second unboxing vid of a martini-henry on youtube. Well I'll still have the first for a Snider! Beautiful rifles. Don't know if I will have the courage to get the untouched ones

  • @cpcw06 I can't wait to see the snider, please do upload it. Everyone of these rifles is like a time capsul, there is a difference between my MK II and the MK IV, so you need to upload vids of both! I expected the mk iv to be in better condition and its not. Your MK IV may be in better or worse shape than the one I got!
