@rnodern he uses a video camera that isnt connected to the computer at all. his guitar goes through a pedal control box for the software called "guitar rig" and records it in that. After that's done its just simply combining the audio form the computer and the video from the camera. (which can be easily done with something such as windows movie maker8
May I ask what you used to record the video and the line in at the same time? I am thinking of recording something similar.
