  • Im gonna apply here, but one question, how good is thier buisness/ management classes?

  • @julicarodani rejected?

  • Yeah, well I got a master's their two. Guess it dozn't say to much for there akademik programs.

  • What they don't tell you is that the town is radically Liberal and the town government argues over where to put trees. UMASS it's self, great school. Amherst not so much. This is coming from a Amherst High School Senior.

  • Go MinuteJeffs!

  • UMass '72. Was this taken before Title IX? Too bad iyou are showing sports and there were no Women's Teams. Mom of former UMass female athlete. I thought it was 1970 all over again. You should be ashamed of showing all Men's sports.

  • Maybe you missed the (albeit short) clip of the Women's Basketball team?

  • Ah, I stand corrected. A little more would have been nice considering that the population of UMass is not 95% male.

  • @Biketrail51 It is generally a good idea to check spelling and grammar before posting so you do not sound less intelligent. Example, typing "iyou", capitalizing the W in "Women", or having the fragment "Mom of former UMass female athlete. Nothing diminishes the creditability of an argument more than terrible writing. Any school will show the men's teams more, because it is the men's sporting teams that make UMass money. Did you even attend UMass Amherst? I find it hard to believe.

  • The highlights you featured are wonderful - but can you do something about diversity? All the support programs for minority students are not mentioned anywhere. Can we do something about this? Minority parents and prospective students would feel more at ease if they see some support services that should also be featured, not neglected.

    Thank you.

  • Hi, thank you for your thoughtful comment - especially since UMass Amherst has many programs that support the needs and interests of our diverse student population. This video reflects the diversity of our students and faculty in the academic and research areas and I will suggest we look to increase diverse student affairs programming in the future. Thank you again for your ideas. They are greatly appreciated.

  • Are you kidding me? Minority students receive the best support out of anyone at UMass - often at the expense of helping out non-minority students. There's no need to worry if you're a minority at UMass - because you effectively have privileged status in the school's eyes.

  • very selective views of campus and departments.

why don't you try showing the dump that is the fine arts center or talk about the disorganization fo the economics dept. or any other major that isn't in SOM or some science

  • Thank you for your comment. We are "seeing the glass as more than half full". Every department across campus is on the rise and UMass Amherst is definitely headed into the highest echelon of research universities. We are really proud of our students and faculty and home here on campus.

  • This is UMass. Amherst is down the road.
