Kirsten Dunst has very little resemblance to Marie Antoinette. Her nose and facial structure is totally different. Just look up Madame Tussaud's death mask of Marie Antoinette, or any painting of her.
the thing is that marie was much younger than that in the time Jefferson went to France, she was like in her early 30s...in that 1995 movie Marie looks like she's 60. And Louis was not that old too.

She was too young too rule, I'm sure you would get carried away with such power at your fingertips it is obvious you are arrogant from the way you refer to Marie Antoinette, she did not deserve to die the way she did. She was used as a scapegoat by the already fallen french government.
C'est se foutre de la gueule du monde (mais surtout des Français) que de commencer ce film avec comme musique de fond un air on ne peut plus rosebeef!
Why on earth did you use "Rule, Britannia!"? That song was written to celebrate Britain's antipathy to the French Bourbons. (By the way, the music was Thomas Arne, not Elgar, as stated elsewhere). Read the lyrics, they are most definitely anti-French.
Where did you find these beautiful pictures of Jefferson in Paris? Great sequence of photos by the way; still you could have done a better job with the music.
It's "Jefferson in Paris" by Merchant Ivory productions from 1995. Marie-Antoinette is played by the excellent french comedian Charlotte de Turckeim. The film also starred Nick Nolte(!) as Thomas Jefferson and Gwyneth Paltrow as his daughter Martha. It's an amazingly beautiful film! It's available on DVD.
@CHCANY Thomas Jefferson is my ancestor and I care about him very much. This blood bath of a Revolution stripped France of it's true self. Sorry you do not see more of the historical impact of this tragedy.
@Rossdhu16 this was gonna happen at one point in french history, engoland and the rest of europe already had their re-unifications, civil wars, and etc, but france had only one out burst, and thats the protestant revolution which harly did anything but cause massacres, technically france has been fully united for the last 400 years, and so they needed an outburst especially since louis 14 had kept them so tightly togehter...they just needed some kind of scape-goat, and marie antoinette was easy.
