  • wrong very wrong.i take lessons from a world champion, callista balko (university of arizona, cought for tayrne mowwatt) and she told me never squish the ball. its always foot should go on tip toes. and pitching, feet always have to be on the ruber when starting. get it straight man!

  • @silliehilli STOP BRAGGING NO ONE GIVES A SHIT WHO YOU TAKE LESSONS FROM AND SHE IS A CATCHER SO ITS TOTALLY DIFFERENT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @sheygrrrrl95 That's not called bragging, that's called being a wishful thinker. You know how those lonely people are. :]

  • im 17 and I can throw much faster than that although that is a normal speed that I see most woman throwing and their accuracy was pretty good...

  • My 11 year old is in her second year but getting better everyday. I am teacher her to point and throw because I am finding it hard to get her to point the leading shoulder towards her target. She keeps open up when throwing so I am teaching her to point. Do you think I am wrong for doing this? Thanks for your comments.

  • I played softball for over 15 years and now coach and I always tell me girls to point their gloves. I find those who do have much better accuracy. As for the speed factor like I said I played a long time, always pointed my glove and never had a problem of throwing anyone out.

  • Thanks! She is so much better now. She is starting to lose interest and that isn't good. I continue to play with her but maybe I am to hard on her at times. I need to make it fun. I am working on that. Thanks again.

  • I find making games out of drills make things more fun. Also getting third party instructing is also a good idea because kids do tend to listen when it is not their parents. Good luck and I wich you well.

  • lol wow those girls throw fast haha

  • This video is a great way to show how to pitch.

  • both baseball and softball are great sports, softball is just a little more recreational, and hardball is more competitive.

  • Wrong...softball and hardball can both be recreational or competitive. There are many levels to softball as there probably is with baseball. There is house ball (recreational), rep "B" ball (a bit more competitive), and rep "A" ball (very competitive). Women can get softball scholarships to Universities just as guys can for hardball. And...although not as popular, there is a pro league for softball players as well. Make sure you know your facts first before you make your comments.

  • oh and jease403, softball was started by baseball players. and if you dont like softball you dont like baseball, then you go $!@# yourself with a big !$#@

  • Softball actually came before baseball, thought it is not the softball game as we know it today

  • no it didnt it was invented as a means to play baseball during the winter and was called indoor baseball

  • If you didn't notice, the girls in the background. He's a coach. Most coaches I had in junior high school and high school had tremendous knowledge of most sports in general. The reason they are coaching in the first place. Your comment is out of place and laced with ignorance.

  • jeez, dont tell me your life.
