Strong, solid, steel bicycle frames are getting difficult to find here in the U.S.. Everything is moving toward aluminium / lightweight fibers... Steel, which is in my mind a default choice for durable bicycles is becoming a luxury material available mostly through expensive custom frame makers. How did the bike manufacturers get us to forgo frame strength, ride quality and weight carrying capacity of our bikes and focus primarily on shedding grams? I'd like a durable steel bike I can trust!
I visited Amsterdam two years ago and was amazed that there were no so called "modern bikes" being used. So I went home and got the old Granny bicycle out. Then off to see what these Dutch people were about. Well it is the only way to travel in a city. No cost, fun, easy, every journey time is door to door, healthy, social and of course fast. But it has to be the geometry of the frame, the upright stance and the gearing that make it a pleasent comfortable cycle rather then a lean forward dash.
thanks for the informative video. Americans (Genus species = Piggy americanus) have a lot to learn from your intelligent viewpoints and active considerations for the Earth. Your European culture is supperior to ours and I hope this country changes before we destroy the planet. Everyone get a bike - ban fast food window pickup and think of people beyond your mirror. To Europe: do not remain complacent and speak up about the gluttonous Americans. Again thanks for the push to be modern WITH BIKES.
Don't worry about the americans, they are going to get a good dose of reality soon enough. Their days of living large and consuming disproportionate amount of the earths energy while being the least intelligent are over.

the cure for OBESITY is right in your garage hanging on the rafters
get it out bike to the gym when you get on the front door head back home and you have your workout
call them and ask for a refund and do the same thing over 3 times a week
but your wallet might just be a little heavy !!!
