I said it once and I will ask it again here. "What is flatter than a board, cooler than Absolite Zero and hotter than the center of our Sun? A: Pat Benatar" (and her band).
2011 and I’m still hitting replay on this song! I LOVE PAT BENETAR! DAMN she can sing her booty off! Her strength, beauty, and kick ass attitude has been such a huge inspiration to me being a female singer! She has paved the way for female rock singer! I am in a pop/punk band called HEY YOU. If any of you PB fans would like to give it a try, we just put up a new video, and would love it if you would let us know what you think.... = )
@emimusic & youtube thank you both for picking up where MTV and commercial radio stations left off 20+ yrs ago. For those that like music it's like YouTube is an addiction, and back to a time you didn't have to worry about where your next pay check was coming from, and long term cd's were 7%+ How good we all had it,and now who knows?
She looks cute- her hubby(to be) is looking hot. This song reminds me of someone that I got involved with who gave me grief. I bet thousands of people -men and women can relate to this song.
The 80's...by far the best decade. Great music, even better concerts with hot girls with big hair and not afraid to wear tight clothes and high heels. I feel sorry for today's youth and the music industry.... not too much to get excited about these days. Pity that.
Been a fan since 1980. Finally saw her live last year with Blondie. Got back stage passes from Blondie's guitarist. Met Blondie for the 2nd time, as usual a class act, quirky yet gorgeous woman even in her 60's. They both rocked the audience at Cony Island. 80's forever. Class of 84'.
I think the female vocalist from my generation who comes the closest to matching Pat Benatar's voice is Shirley Manson of Garbage; I think so, anyway.
Never read an issue. Thanks tho - I will look into it. I have a lot to learn. Like freaking alt. tunings and scales. I dread scales. I know i gotta tho. :)
I saw her last night (5-30-10) at Speed Street in Charlotte the night before the Coca-Cola 600...... Wow, she was amazingIIII I figured at age 57 her voice might have lost a notch or two.... BOY WAS I WRONG!!! Her voice echoed off of the skyscrapers downtown with about 30k in attendance. She used it as a weapon all night.... I can't say enough!!!! BLOWN AWAY!!!!!!
Down here in Charlotte... WE LOVE YOU Mrs. Benatar. Plz come back and do it again next year!!!
Get Nervous was the first album I ever bought by Pat. I've never seen this video before. So much talent! She's doing that 80's pop sound better than anyone on this album.
I remember hearing she was pregnant while filming this, which explains the loose clothing. She also looks kinda chunky in the face. Loved this lady for so long. I hate you, Neil!!!
She actually wasn't pregnant when this video was shot. She didn't have her first child until over two years later. You may have mixed it up with the "We Belong" video. She was pregnant when they shot that one.
"Get Nervous" was the first Benatar album I ever bought... Always loved this song... but my number 1 fav. is "shadows of the Night"... Pat Benatar ROCKS!!!
I miss the old band!!!! Myron rocked!
