  • bambie thatsa rock!!! BURD!!!

  • DELL, a stupid company. ASUS blows them away.. Dell has very, very poor service,,and their telephone Indians are arrogant and mean...I cancelled several orders because of DELL India..

  • @trkdigital telling by, you have a asus, a little crap as computer with only supporting a weak cpu, and telling by, you can't afford a dell

  • Whats the difference between Vostro v13 and the latitude 13??

  • mediocre battery life + built-in battery...great defect

  • I wonder why it's not available with a 64 bit OS?

  • sadly, i had this vostro v13 for 3 days. The screen on this machine is horrible where the viewing angle is very narrow. The screen is worst than most netbooks. I returned it and got a macbook air for $800 from a friend. I was never a macbook air fan but compared it to the vostro v13 is night and day. Macbook air is just pure quality and beauty.

  • Dell deceive us all with a gimmick ad. V13 in the ad banner with a " ...Core 2 Duo..." but actually it's a core 2 solo piece of junk. The so call VP claiming V13 is about 30% thinner than competitor? Hmm! Which one? Apple? Asus, Sony? or Toshiba? Dell has becoming a dishonest company, don't buy from them.

  • not sure what you are on about just received mine with a core 2 duo....

  • 1) You can get a Vostro V13 with a Core 2 Duo

    2) He says 'Competitors'. As in plural; which could mean any and all of those companies that you list.

    3) Dell are not any more deceptive or dishonest than any other company; of course there's going to be a little bit of marketing bumf coming from them, it's to be expected.

To be honest, the only products I'd buy from Dell are their laptops, as they always seem well made and well designed.

  • why aren't they any video/review of this thing, when will they be ship

  • @3doog They are available now on the Dell website.

  • there's a $370 coupn for this vostro v13 if you spend $999 or more. I'm sure you can figure out to get the coupon for a small price.

  • no hdmi ? come on...why u guys are always short of specs

  • this is a business laptop and most projectors you connect to have only VGA inputs.

if you want HDMI, go for a multimedia laptop, not a business ultra-portable

  • excellent work!

  • the battery last 4~ hrs. The End

  • Good job. I think i want one. Sorry apple dell wins again. I love how it starts under $500. However i will suggest to buy one with a core 2 ulv , 4gb and windows 7 pro. i am hoping a dell xmas deal or coupon brings my configue under $750.

  • Pricing is, and always has been, why Apple will never gain serious traction in the desktop/laptop space. But they have no debt and keep raking in profits, so more power to them. If people want to pay a premium for comparable (or weaker) hardware and a brand name, it's their money to waste.

  • can i say amen. lol

  • Like the notebook. but Dell is too calm about the "6-cell" battery. i guess it's a low capacity model. Every Dell ships with a terribla bad battery life or with som ugly extra bulk. Change that Dell!!!

  • nice style & good looking ,probably they didnt choose atom cause it's to slow compare to celeron & for me i prefere adamo

  • Excellent design, good performance. I was hoping the DVD drive built into the case ...

    But still very thin ...

    :)

  • Ok, so what else about the V13? Cmon Sam, nobody cares about the Vostro brand, we just want to see if the V13 is going to be a homerun!

    I know I'm hoping...

  • It has a 1.2GHz Celeron, 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo or 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo with integrated X4500MHD graphics, up to 4 GB of DDR3 SDRAM and up to 500 GB HDD. Running Windows 7 or Ubuntu and starts at $450.

Doesn't look too bad at all, i'm just wondering why they chose a Celeron over the more efficient Atom.

  • What? The Celeron beats Atom in every benchmark. Atom is a weak processor and should be kept out of the laptop segment--Celeron beats it. The only place Atom wins is in TDP; of course an Atom uses significantly less power than a Celeron.
