Kaktus Digital rocks! Is this plane ever gonna be created? Are those fans derived from the Russian Tu-95 'Bear'? I bet the engines are six in numbers: two jet turbans and four fans. The fans are turned by the turbines which powers the fans. Very green and innovative hybrid plane. I look forward to its flight, if there is one.
Very nice model, great animation: Awesome 3d work... I absolutely love the concept: the high aspect-ratio wings, the canards and the counter rotating open rotor engines are truly cutting edge for aerospace engineering.
Some questions though: are those Vue background maps? What program do you use for the animations/modeling/rendering? And, because I do this as a hobby, I must ask, how long did it take to render this?

we use 3dsmax with Vray. The whole animation took a few days to render on about 4 quadcore machines. Its rather hard to keep track of exact time frames but the longest frame would have taken about 45minutes. This was all rendered at 1280X720 originally.
This is so cool! though it reminds me of the initial A350 and all other Airbus concepts :) anyways nice video! Amazing!
