You know what i saw soemthing about this horse bucking and seeing another about him kicking out because of a whip or a stick. My own horse that i have in Australia does this, with or without whips, with or without being pissed of, with our with out me kicking spurrign hwipping ect. BECAUSE OF FLIES.
Ok, so a horse bucks because he is "unhappy" according to the oh so very smart people on here. Tell me this, on a warm spring morning, when I let my horses out after their bellies are full and they buck and kick and then run and play..... Is that too because they are so "unhappy". Just saying....... Mexicans~ do whatever it is you do and have fun!
that was really good! maybe do it little bits at a time instead all at once...im just guessing.. i dont know anything about the piaffe.. :P but it looked great!
How many times is that Mexican going to whip that horse? It's clearly stressed out and whipping it isn't going to make it any HAPPIER. You Mexicans are so fcking screwed up.
no se pasen d verga, para q escriben los comentarios en ingles, si el video tiene una rola 100% mexicana. arriva mexico, y hasta ahorita no e perdido mi identidad.
Because all of the fags making comments on how lovely this is. its all a lie, if you had seen the bases of how they got this horse to make this "piaffe" liek movement, you'd see the cruelty and how this method is. whats the point of making a horse dance in a wooden board ? blowing its tendons outs and producing splint bones thats the point. the Piaffe originally is a short trot, regarldess of that there shall always be forward movement, this horse is hyperflexing plus prived of fowardness.
wait, theres no hyperflexion, yet the lower jaw is stiff.Severe western bits are a must, plus the haunches arent being used correctly, the main idea of dacing horses if for them to dance, using sticks and whips very often to achieve this. they skip years of trainning and use the harshest of methods, theres no rythm, no streightness nor impulse in this piaffe. horse is stiff, and uncomfortable, plus phisically nor mentally is it prepare to create this sorts of movements. need more treinning.
I know a piaffe is a very difficult thing to do, especially on a wooden plank!! By what I know, the reason the horse kicked and played up a little, is from the whip tapping it's rump. the horse looks like it wants to learn, which is great! My horse is stubborn and needs an attitude adjustment! lol, but i love him.
OK the people who are saying this horse doesn'y love him because he kicked out, SHUT THE F*CK UP. Honestly! He kicked. Boohoo. He didn;t want to stay on the board, but he LOVED his rider so he did anyway!
Muy hermoso caballo y más porque estoy seguro que alguna vez estubo bailando en un escenario junto a su ex-dueño (Joan S.)
You can be very proud of making that horse dance like that, well thats how we call those movements here in México, now that you´r the owner you can be satisfied with that precious horse, I wish you tha best with that beauty!
Its kicking out because it can feel the whip in its hind legs. I highly doubt ANY horse actually enjoys doing this, otherwise they'd all be doing it in their free time.
Well if he likes u then at 6 sec he would not be kicking and trying to buck and by the way some one told me a horse can get ring bone by stress on wood or cement so dont go and ruin or injuer your horse for some thing it does not want to do
The horse feels very strange on a hollow wooden board in these first times. He doesn't do that anymore, see new video referred earlier. When your kid doesn't like reading, you worry not about his happiness but his progress. Progress takes unfamiliarity; initial hardship and initial extra effort. Still if it makes YOU happy I'll talk to his shrink.
Believe me, that horse loves me and I love him. Yet, we are not jumping highschool obstacles here. As I said in that video, it was the first time I could keep him up there piaffing. It requires discipline to get something that hard acomplished. And that takes VERY hard work. If interested see the progress; it will be the first hit if you look for "spanish horse piaffe". Give it a try at haut ecole; nobody can get horses to do what we do.
This is very similar to what is done with show dogs to teach them to stack. A device called "happy legs" teaches the puppies to stand correctly. Take them off the happy legs after training and you've got a much prettier picture. Same as when this horse comes off the boards.
the horse looks fine, hes performing one of the most advanced dressage movements, which requires alot of discipline and respect for his rider, and since horses are naturally afraid of stepping on hollow surfaces, that just proves he has trust in his rider, he could buck him off or gallop away if he dint like it that much. and dont try to say its unatural, therfore unfair for the horse, because riding in itself is unnatural. im thinking your a passenger not yet a rider,

yep not so easy to maintain it. I'm looking for several riders that can actually alternate the rhythm of piaffe on a wooden board as it is for a show (the show won't take place before a year and a half so there is no hurry )
Excellent Post Rancho. U.S. Cowboys need to remember that Mexico BROUGHT rodeo to the U.S. we've "Rodeoing" long before the PRCA was ever sanctioned. VIVA CHIHUAHUA!!
Well, if I take him off the board his piaffe improves instantly and then it stops being weird and not so far away from the civilized world as it looks.

Whats the point of doing it on a wooden board? I fail to see the significance in it... Can someone please explain it for me?
DarkDreamsNeverEnd 2 years ago
I'd assume it makes it to assure that the hrose stays inone place. Plus, most horses would shy away from the board.

if you want to see some good piaffer there is a video: "philippe karl piaffer levada"
ludger91 3 years ago
this piaffer isn't correct, there isn't impulsion and the horse moves his aunches on the left and on the right. bed performance
ludger91 3 years ago
But that is a much better piaffe then some grand prix horses.

actually the horse is happy or it wouldnt be doing this advanced move!
