  • Love watching the pain. Delicious.

  • SHEA!!! NNNOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ewwwwwwwwwww..same thing happened to me

  • Oooh I saw that! Yikes! *winces*

  • That happened to me!! I torn my acl on march 9th 2011 I'm 14.. That hurt like piece the crap!! I have to get surgery on summer 2011..

  • That was a nasty one .... OUCH!

  • i cant even watch this. I tore my ACL last september, still rehabing. hopefully I Can get back to football. The doctors and athletic trainers were astounded that I was able to play efficiently on a torn ACL for 3 quarters, let alone run, jump, and walk on it.I had surgery and am still in recovery. I just hope i get to play sports again.

  • this just hurts watching it how she landed. hate to feel it in real life. ouch!!!

  • friday i was playing and my friend went for a a lay up and landed on her knee... she tore her acl...one of the worst things ive seen

  • Ok so its not that they are weaker it's the fact that women don't use their hamstrings when they land like men do.

  • I tore mine too bout two weeks ago playing basketball. Not knowing it was my acl, I tried playing again on Tuesday and re-injured it. I'm getting surgery on October 4th. :[

  • That was bot funny I did the same thing man it's pain for real

  • LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL too fuckin hilarious

  • aww how cute

  • This happened to me twice :( ughhhh

  • @kellysylwia182 i tore both my acl's too! its so painful. the first one i didnt even know it was torn. i played basketball for two years with the leg be unstable. then i tore the right one and found out they were both torn. its so painful at first and it stays swollen forever. but surgery is a killer. im just glad im done with it:)

  • what do you mean for women athletes!?!? this is a fear for both females AND males.

  • @id2star11 yes but womens acls are significantly weaker than mens acl, meaning the tear more easily and more often.

  • The first 10 minutes is like meeting satan? WTF it really is not that painful. I tried to run for a bit after but lasted 1 min and walked of the park. So seriously it looks worse, the most painful thing is the wait before you can be active again.

  • It depends on how you do it. The first time i tore mine my head was touching my knee it i didn't even know what happened. No pain. But When i tore the one in my right knee i made a bad cut and i could feel the bones scraping past eachother. Worst pain ever.

  • @drbirt

  • @drbirt you obiously didnt have a complete tear like i did you cant walk right after much less run its bone to bone it will give if you put weight on it the first 10 minutes are terrible you most likely had a partial tear

  • @suprmayn wrong. Partial tears are actually more painful. IF you fully tear it there is nothing there. I FULLY tore my ACL in a football game last september and played 3 1/2 quarters of football on my knee. I was in pain the whole time, but the adrenaline helped fight it off and my mind kind of ignored the pain. My knee gave out 2 more times throughout the whole game. You can walk and run after, its just planting and cutting that can be bad, if you go about them the wrogn way.

  • @ThaDieNasty i partially tore mine a year before the full tear and was able to play sports without a lot of pain thats probably what you had all i know is when i fully tore it my knee would NOT go straight and when i put any weight on it it gave way it had nothing to do with pain i physically could not walk trust me i tried i dont care if you ignore the pain you still cant walk with a full tear your knee WILL give way also my partial tear hurt no were near as bad as my full full tear

  • i know how it is. it hurts soooo bad. it's a pain you never felt.

  • i got the torn acl last mnth. thefirst ten minutes is like meeting satan. the first 5 seconds u cant breathe, fall instantly, then the next 10 minutes is the worst, soooo bad.

  • the fear of most female athletes is having a baby, not blowing out their knees

  • @ILLINOISLOYALTY1 i think in general thats every females biggest fear lol the going through labor part anyway

  • mine was blowing out my knee. now it's blowing it out for the 3rd time.

  • @ILLINOISLOYALTY1 hahaha

  • this is nothin compared to shaun livingstons acl tear

  • big blow out, bin there got the t.shirt

  • happened to me during a wrestling match.

  • I love Shea Ralph. This was a sad way to see her career end.

  • Me too...I was an athletic trainer at UCONN when this all happened. You won't find many female athletes like Shea Ralph that is so determined to make things happen...always striving for excellence...even today 13 years later...Awesome Awesome Awesome person and great athlete....I wish I could give her my knees!!

  • it looks like it doesnt take much g-force to tear the ACL wow...

  • @Blakecscs Hi, how are you doing? I'm fine myself just imagine if you completely blow everything out in your knee. I did this 6 years ago and went through 17 months of rehab. Blake I thought I was done with sports but they did such a great job it's like it never happened.

  • @tonyspizza1800 this particular tear was her freshman year. it did not end her career. the one that ended her playing career was her senior year vs. notre dame and then re-tearing it a few months later playing with her dog. it was something like her 4th acl tear since hs and she gave up on playing after that. who can blame her?

  • Yeah, it got me.

They were gonna try physical therapy for a month. Then if it didn't help, I'd have surgery.BUT the day I was supposed to begin physical therapy, I collapsed, dead as a doorknob. PE/DVT...clots traveled from the knee to the lungs.

NOW I have to wait even longer to even TRY physical therapy, & if it doesn't work, EVEN LONGER to have the surgery (on blood thinners). AND STILL have to worry about clotting if I have surgery! I had a good athletic run. Just glad 2B alive.

  • might as well get the surgery man..

i just had my surgery 2 1/2 weeks ago and im doing great. im already walking on my own and the therapy isnt that bad. (varies from person to person) some ppl go berserk during therapy.

  • I can't do surgery AT ALL now.

As I mentioned, "PE/DVT...clots traveled from the injury site 2the lungs"

    I was instantly dead.

    HOWEVER,

I've got my last session of therapy soon & I've graduated from walker (out of hospital after clots), back 2crutches, 2cane....& now I'm walking without ANY assistance as of Xmas.

It's been an unfortunately loooooong road 2recovery 4me, but I'm glad urs is moving along rapidly.

  • You'll be back in no time. Took me 7 months and then i played in the national basketball tournament... hurt like fuck but i could still do it.

  • i've recovered fully in a matter of 3 1/2 months. I was walking the day after my surgery.

  • @millrob94 im out 4 months and I can play sports again, even though my doc says not too. but walking the day after surgery. I couldnt walk 3 days after. Did you have hamstring graft?

  • i tore my shit i just had surgery.. it fkn sux

  • almost exactly what happened to me. luckily only once, and im playing again :)

  • ouch!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • oh my freakin god....

  • aww:P

  • haha girls cant play basketball...

  • THAT WAS NASTY!, It looked like her leg went back to front.

  • i remember when that happened. NCAA first round. 1997. she ended up with something like 5 ACL tears total in both knees. last one was while playing with her dog. that last one ended her playing career. she's now an assistant coach at pitt. as far as i know.

  • i could not tell who that was do you know?

  • it was shea ralph.
