Lol, I bought a DiVinci crapy sroundsound for about $60 from guys in a white van. The sold me the system, because they showed me the specs and it sounded great at the time. But now looking back it wasn't a bad deal for $60. It's a 5.1 home theater, the only thing is the remote half control buttons are not working and I can't find the code for the universal remote control. Other than that it ain't bad at all.

I was on Google looking up a home theater system I saw on Craigslist which ended up being 1 of these off brand names above. They are only asking $125 but I could get it for $75 maybe even $60 but if its a bad product I wouldn't buy it. I also read where you can drop off at Goodwill and get a tax write off.

Good thing I know something about pro-audio. First thing that tells you is is not a $4000.00 unit. The receiver and amp unit/s are NOT part of the sub-woofer. The receiver actually uses HDMI and optical input/outputs as it's primary sources. Most $4000.00 systems carry the THX certifications. The connections oin the expensive equiptment are heavy duty and often gold plates as well, no thin garbage metal. there is a whole list of things that says these are not PRO.
According to the XE Universal Currency Converter, the 200 Euros is equal to 263 USD! NO plain old RCA headphone type audio cable is worth more than 10 or 15 dollars + tax.
I am experienced when it comes to this stuff, and it doesn't matter what high quality coating or plating it uses, anything more than 10 to 20 US or Canadian dollars is a complete ripoff. I don't even know if that kind of material is anything any legitimate retailer would have the nerves to sell at that price.

I picked up a hauffman receiver off the side of the road in the garbage - the power cord was cut off, so i soldered a new one on - it works but i need the remote for it - I took a look inside and it's not badly made, but definitely not what the scammers described it as. Thanks for the vid
I just bought a "Paramax IM3 Home theatre system". I should have known it was too good to be true. I payed $200 for it and it was supposedly worth over $4,000. At least mine works and the sounds quality is ok I suppose.

These ripoff speakers would be awesome for a DIY guy. I'd remove the elements from the housings and make my own. A little project that I can claim I did all by myself. That is unless the actual speaker elements are poor quality. In that case no-one can save them.

I picked up a hauffman receiver off the side of the road in the garbage - the power cord was cut off, so i soldered a new one on - it works but i need the remote for it - I took a look inside and it's not badly made, but definitely not what the scammers described it as. Thanks for the vid

I just bought a "Paramax IM3 Home theatre system". I should have known it was too good to be true. I payed $200 for it and it was supposedly worth over $4,000. At least mine works and the sounds quality is ok I suppose.

These ripoff speakers would be awesome for a DIY guy. I'd remove the elements from the housings and make my own. A little project that I can claim I did all by myself. That is unless the actual speaker elements are poor quality. In that case no-one can save them.
But they go as low as 150 dollars... Thats really not much money no matter how poor quality they are. Do they make any profit? How much do they pay for them?

@latuman depends on the model and if they are working with an office or independent, if the guys who sold this to him were with an office and they probably were their pay-in was about $200 which means they made $50 each minus gas money and shit. my dad got me a home theater system from a guy at home depot that didnt work there and i gotta say.....IT IS DAMB LOUD..it came with 5 sattelight speakers..and 2 big speakers with a dvd/cd/mp3/radio player...and also it came with a subwoofer that shakes my room :) if anyone wants to see it pm me and ill make a vid...but seriosly i could here it from my room(2nd story and not including the basement)

I don't know Dude, but if you want the real thing when it comes to audio, in my opinion; nothing would beat Bose.
I purchased a Pioneer system for like $599.00 plus tax & it's ok to me. One Woofer & 5 speakers. Basically you connect everything to it and it comes with a remote where I think you may have to have a College degree to understand it (just kidding).
Those guys play you a sort of Con game.
Take it as a lesson in life, Money comes & Money goes.
