  • @TheSSMusicChannel Well thats funny because i remember watching a program about the making of the bill and they said all places were made up names. And whats that got to do with this recording thats from a TV series but labled "uk police radio"

  • lol its not illegal this sound clip is from The bill a uk tv program which has been discontinued so technically there is no copyright law to break

  • sierra oscar back in the seventies was Hendon nick, I know trust me

  • @TheSSMusicChannel lol the bill itv none of their police call signs or stations were real

  • @threesim why was my eppaulette number SO416 when I did the beat around there in the 1980's? and my Sergeant was SO221? there was a bit of a rumpus about it at the time and then they closed down Hendon police station and moved to the new hi tec station at Colindale near the RAF Museum so I'm afraid your misinformed! fyi SH was Mill Hill, my ex was based there......

  • you are breaking copy right laws by broadcaseing it on youtube

  • This audio clip is from a British TV Show called The Bill. Call sign SO is also from that show.

If you listen carefully you can hear the character names being used. Something which is only done on TV shows has in real life it is banned for someone to use an officers name over the radio system.

  • this isn't the real police

    Sierra Oscar are the Bill

I live near their TV studio and I enjoy watching it on ITV

  • LOL sierra oscar, its the police alphabet when tey call in a number plate, from a - z alpha, bravo, charlie, delta, echo, foxtrot, golf, hotel, india, juliet, kilo, leema, mike, november, oscar, papa, quebeck, romeo, sierra, tango, uniform, v???, whisky, xray, yankee, zulu.

  • iv got the new one now :D

  • the met police now

    have new radios

    " motorola MTH800 "

    iv got the old police

radio but not this new one

  • i used to have a special scanner that could pick up police radios and even peoples phone calls but the police use digital radios now so you cant pick it up anymore. you could hear drug raids and everything it was quite interesting, but its allways funny when you hear someone having an argument over the phone about something as well.

  • where did u get it from

  • well it was my dads and he got it about 10 years ago so i cant remember i'd have to ask him. he had 2 scanners, the first one he had was better cuz you could pick up mobile phone calls but the second one couldn't but you could get all sorts on there even peoples walky talkies etc. you cant get police radios anymore tho. the make of the second one was called 'realistic 1000 channel pro 2035' you can pick up anything with a radio wave and you can hear if the neighbours are talking about you LOL

  • you cant get mobile phones anymore you can get analog landlines on 31mhz hear people havng phone sex ringing up littlewoods direct giving credit card info out ect lol its a good job im trustworthy

  • why cant you get mobiles anymore thyen? i know you can get analog landlines but i remeber picking up mobiles before.

  • what in uk?

  • Comment removed

  • so is there no way to listen in on coppa diddledallies any more? I'm thinking bout a filmscript and need a character to listen in on police chatter - is this realistic at all?

  • ...yeah this if definetly from some form of telivsion show. I've listend to police radio's before admittedly not on a metrapolitan channel (few coppers in the family unfortunetly) and it's extreamly informal, the officers change how they show up from their numbers to joke names like people do on msn. and it's more like "some teenagers are scarpin' outside the firestation, err roger me and dave will check it out after we get served in the chippy."

  • yep thats riht.

    they are words

    that the uk

    police use

  • This is from the Bill.. I recognised DCI Jack Meadows voice.. and siera osca is the call sign from the Bill..

  • This is from 'the bill'.

  • Call sign "Sierra Oscar" is used by the TV series "The Bill"

this will have been recorded from the TV

  • om that is way cool u got

    the sound and stuff of

    a police radio

how did u do that man
