This kid single handily led his high school to back to back state championships and 2 undefeated seasons. He was a star at the University of South Carolina. He needed a Tony Robbins type guy to get him thru this bad place in which he never recovered.... Sad story . Blazing, World class speed. Could've been the best ever.

Williamson was drafted under Tice and was with Childress' staff for 2 years. What I am saying is Tice, Childress, the WR coaches and the offensive coordinators, in those years, suck(ed). He had potential, meaning he's not ready to be a real player, but had to be made into one, which is what quality staffs do.

Damn, this video of him is tight, but I watched him play in the NFL. This dude can't even catch a cold. There's a saying that speed kills, but so does dropping the ball in this case. In my opinion, there's so much drafting for "talents" like vertical jump or speed in this case. But these scouts overlook important things like productivity, heart, work ethic, most importantly actual football skills. This is just another example of that.

being a gamecock fan i like to follow former usc players nfl careers and i can say that troy williamson was a great college reciever but he also had great quaterbacks in phil petty and corey jenkins, he was also surrounded by in my opinion one of the better teams that the gamecocks have had since they joined the sec, but to the point williamson is an amazing athelete but has a few issues to work out and hopefully can and then move onto a great nfl career
I can send you Troy believers a highlight reel of about 30 live action dropped passes. He is a terrible receiver and you will find out when he running all alone and the ball bounces off his face mask. Getting rid of his contract was the best thing the vikings did. Its not that he cant catch...its that he doesn't catch with his hands...he lets it fall onto him instead of him catching the balls with his hands...you look at all the catches he drops it all hits his chest because he expects to catch with his chest and craddle it with his hands...

its not that he cant catch, its obvious in this vid that he can catch, whats wrong with him is in his head. He has no confidence in the pros. In college the coach has designed screens, and hes the main/only target threw the air it looks like. So he had confidence.. its complicated, i think the vikings will be better off without him, and hell be better off without the vikings.
