  • bloody hell it was so fast it broke through the sound barrier lol

  • @shredmaster100 well......bottom end lacks big time but top is great. have destroyed many new hemi chargers and challengers....camaros...pfffft

  • I love v8, I love Interceptor

  • If I had the money, I would love to buy a stallion. So sexy, and cool!

  • More of this actual car can be seen on our channel and website!

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar it actually was 650 but nbd, the more the marrier right?

  • awesome car man, and jealous folks can only dream of havin a car like yours, replica or not the interceptor is one mean machine!

  • Aussie Falcons Rule

  • nice job

  • 15 dislikes why do bloody holden fans even look at these vids

  • I d be glad if you recorded the sound from the exhausts starting the engine, revving it a little bit, then listening to the blower...and then just a quiet start as you did in this video... the sound of the engine is something that blows my mind!!!

  • mad max -interceptor is awesome gijoe 989.

  • quick thing---- the other cop cars are pursuit cars-- lower gears, all of that--- the intercepter has higher gear ratios for "intercepting"--- that means catching up with the bad dudes and pulling them over!!!! the interceptor is meant for intimidation-- no squealing tires, no burnouts--- just badass showing anyone who speeds with a "fast car" that they are on a limited time frame!!! that is what it is built for!!!

  • Have you guys thought that maybe this car does not have to power to blow em off like the car in the movie did? This thing may just be built for looks and nothing else!

  • @zLOSTNOMOREz

It has the power for sure but then again any manual shift car can lay down some rubber. The movie car was a GT and rated at 300 HP, mine...maybe a bit more. I did build it with the intention of being able to jump in and go regardless of outside temps and get normal/decent fuel economy and I have been able to accompish that. Just for the record, Murray Smith, who built the car for the movie, told me in person that they actually put down a bit of water on the road to help smokem

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar In the movie it said it has around 600 hp.

  • Don't listen to the naysayers Ultimate...this is one fine piece of rolling stock you've got there. Be proud of it! I only wish I could go for a ride...

  • every one stop posting that he should do burnouts in this nice car, not every one likes to waist money on a set of tires every time they do a vid. and like he said it is a show car it is for himself to enjoy not every one else to, i wouldn't sell my XB GS ute just because i never have smoked them up. and also i just want to add a very nice mad max Interceptor you have just enjoy it the way you want and again nice XB

  • wow, even sounds like the movie when it takes off.. no burnout though,,

  • Top car, mate. I don't blame you for not wanting to do burnouts in it, i get idiots that want a smokeshow saying the same to me - I don't think these armchair car heads have any idea how much wear and tear these create...and as for these idiots that assume ur rich, fuck em. Mine started out as a 1500 buck car that none of these fools would have touched with a barge pole - now its `sell it to me...'

  • Your car, you've earned the right to do whatever you want. Me, I'd have sex with it. Never sell that car until the real apocalypse happens and then set out on the highway with your dog and never look back.

  • Be careful with her mate, shes the last of the V8s!

  • I think you should do a burnout mate. Otherwise, it's like having a fuck without blowing your load.

  • burnout my ass, still a great looking ride, you invested about how much?

  • Hey Max, Wadda ya doing mate!!!, ya drivin on the wrong side of the road!!. Bedda watch out for those Road Trains, them Bastards dont stop fa nothin.

I hope you talk with a Proppa Accent too, when your drivin that thing, digga. Mel use too, before he found his Lethal Weapon. ;).

  • @glitches1337 The Word is DIGGER you fucking smacktard !

  • Awesome! As an American being a big fan of Mad Max, I love the car! I especially liked the camera angles and locations you chose to do the video. Looking forward to the scenes you are talking about making.

  • Why is the car leaning to one side ?

  • GREAT LOOKIN CAR MAN,AND TO ALL YOU ASSHOLES CRYING ABOUT ''NO BURN OUTS'' GET A LIFE.IF YOU DONT LIKE IT GO GET YOUR CAR AND POST A VID BURNING OUT.UNLESS NONE OF YOU HAVE A CAR THAT CAN DO ONE WHICH IM SURE OF THAT.

  • badass ride man, dont listen to those assholes crying abount not doing a burn out,i own a general lee and i get that same shit too.yea a burnout is cool here and there but if you burned them off everytime some asshole tells you to you would go broke.i run the bfg radial t/a as well and it gets pricey replacing them.but anyways the car looks great always one of my favorite cars AND ENJOY

  • Why don't you sell me that car and let a real man take control. You can have the fuck'n tires and I'll buy some new ones and tune the engine so it will smoke some rubber! If you cannot tromp the fucker, why own it! Max Rockitansky would pull off those tires, throw you inside all four hoizontally, and roll you down a hill. Then install new ones and burn the fucker's full throttle!

  • @Homejobsite Anyone can burn rubber...so really, what's the big deal ? I don't need to prove anything to anyone. I have tons of fun just cruising the highways on long trips....it's truly a rolling car show. Maybe one day I will do a smoke show but I'm far from being bored with this car and enjoying it as is. Of course if you're hell bent on seeing tire smoke, please feel free to send me the cost of some new BFG's and I'll blow the fuckers right of the rim for ya

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar you tell him at about 350.00 a tyre you do your best to blown up , but any fool can make smoke it hard to get a clean take off but .

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar Gotta love it when people think the only way to show a car off is to "Burn the tires off"...Sad

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar So....did he ever send you the money for the new BFG's?

  • @zLOSTNOMOREz Ha !!! no he didn't

  • @Homejobsite yup

  • @Homejobsite Think again.

  • that just means you could post the most expensive burnout on you tube! you should sell the car to someone that will!

  • @tadresalad interesting theory.....I should sell my car because I don't have any burnout vids of it...Hmmmm ? Well seeing as anyone can do a burnout vid with just about any car these days I figured I'd leave it up to them to make the world a better place... I have better things to do really. I've had my burning rubber phase in life and it was fun but with a car like this it proves fuck all. So where are all your videos ???

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar i dont have boat loads of extra cash to buy a replica of a car from a 1980s movie.i was just saying that since you are obviously well off that it wouldnt kill you to peel the tires and make all the poor mad max fans out there happy.whats the point of having your engine stick out of your hood if not to show off and go fast?no offense intended though.you dont have to get all shitty because nobody likes your video.

  • @tadresalad well i don't have boat loads of cash either, this project took a long time and I did all the work except the body job and even then it was done by friends who enjoyed working on something unique so that was a huge savings. Do some research on the real Mad Max car and then keep in mind that I've tried to build mine as close to it as possible. I do plan on trying to recreate a few scenes next year which will involve some burning rubber

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar Now ya talking

  • @tadresalad, Sorry to burst you're "No one likes you're video" comment, just take a look at the "Likes and Dislikes" its currently 5:1 ratio. You don't spend years building something for you're self just to impress some idiots on YouTube by wasting some rubber and possibly wrecking you're engine. If you want smoke and fire search for "Big V8" or "Gups HQ" or maybe even "Power skid" and leave this car enthusiast alone.

  • @tadresalad Bud, just delete your account before you embarrass yourself any further. Cheers bud.

  • @tadresalad Well, maybe GET A LIFE MEATBAG!

  • @tadresalad Someone's jealous that they're 14 and that their mum drives a Hyundai Excel.

Since the poster of this video is too polite, I'll say it:

    Shut the fuck up.

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar Hmm.. If I get this right, it should mean that everyone who refuses to make a burnout vid and put it on Youtube should sell their car.

This might actually not be such a bad idea after all... Let's all help make this world a funnier (but smokier) place!

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar Right on mate.

  • @tadresalad good luck... hell never sell the car...

  • You did burn-outs when you where a little boy... You must of had a great childhood! The point was, you took a good angle of the car, (nice job by the way) but real no show of FORCE! And yes I did read the other comments, and who cares about your fuck'n tires. If they are so valuable, change them and store them, and burn some rubber. My buddies and I are in our 40's, and like burnin rubber. Just started doing it again after a 20 year hiatis, but if it's all the same to you mate, im young again!

  • @Homejobsite I did my first burnout when i was 10 in a go kart built by my dad so childhood was fun. I care alot about those vintage tires... you can't get them anymore and with this car it's important because it makes it movie correct and at shows, that's a big deal. I did finally get another set of rims and put on newer BFG's but the car is not a bottom end torque monster..... top end is the new fix for me these days but if you enjoy smoke shows then see my Chevelle vid from the late 80's

  • @Homejobsite you really don't realise how rare those tires are go on my channel and you will see my interceptor and they are actually the last tires ever made of that model this guy if obviously full of it because well me and my friend bought the last ones in the world had them shipped from NY our car is a 6.5 unlike that thing i don't know if that is a food blender under the bonnet or the engine out of G-WIZ

  • @Homejobsite 40's hahaha old dog!

  • That was just FUCK'N LAME... If you are going to make a VID like that ... Burn some rubber! Unless of course it can't!!!

  • @Homejobsite Sorry but the tires on this car are more rare than the car itself and to date is still the ONLY replica in the world with the correct VINTAGE tires on it.Doing a burnout....well I did plenty of those when I was a little boy in my BB Chevelle.... didn't prove a fuckin thing other than I needed a new set every other burnout, but until you can lay down rubber at 100 MPH you'll never understand....however, read the earlier posts which explain things

  • DO YA SEE ME TOECUTTA!? DO YA SEE ME?!

  • what is that a 2nd gear take off

  • @kollel1000 It's a combo of 2.75:1 gears and a crappy centerforce 1 clutch. It all works fine for 'less than full throttle' acceleration so I'll just leave it in there until I feel like putting in a stronger clutch. The motor is nothing special but it makes great torque. I'm not big on doing burnouts anymore as anyone can build a fairly 'quick' car these days....top end has been more of a rush for me

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar ya good vid i just wanted to know

  • something always happens to tires anyway,no sense in not having fun because of that.if your that worried about that then why do you even have them on there...no offense

  • @This0is0pointless The vintage BFG's were just on for the first year/summer. I've since put on the newer style so i can preserve the 'movie correct' tires for as long as possible. I now only use the old ones for specialty car shows

  • Dude your on the wrong side of the ROAD

  • @bobkats I've driven in both countries and I keep getting confused !!!

  • You should get some crappy tires and do a great burnout for us so we can see it in a video please

    Nice Car to

  • You've seen it!... You've heard it!... and you're still asking questions?

  • Parts must be a headache, genuine and repro bits are hard to find even here in Australia, I've owned an XA and an XC hardtop. Cool.

  • "I can drive thet tenka"

  • Lovely car! "Kick it to the guts, Barry."

  • Hi.Don`t be angry;that ist realy a great car and your lucky man to own such a car.How mutch ist top speed with the 351?Greeting from Germany;C.

  • The speedo only goes to 140 MPH and that was not at the maximum RPM. I would say it may top out at 150 MPH but my tires are not rated for high speed so I've only really opened it up a few times

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar then get better tires :P

  • @5dmc1 I'd love to get more tires so please send donations to.............:P

  • @ultimatemadmaxcar might want to get some other wheels and tires or maybe find some that are as close to those as possible and drive those around and bring out the originals for those special days

  • @redmule02 I do have newer style BFGs on there now.....did a 1200 mile round trip last summer to break them in too...what a rush !!

  • seems like your frame may be bent mate,. its leaning to one side.

  • Vintage Tires? LOL There freakin BF Goodrich??

  • Yes they are BFG's...but they are the movie correct type from 30 years ago. Different tread pattern and font is different. NOBODY reproduces these so I don't want them wrecked as my replica is still the only one in the world with the correct tires.

  • Got ya.

  • The vintage tires are called polyglass tires, very popular in the 70s. They where still 'BF Goodrich' but they had a flatter surface on the tread pattern. If you watch the movie look very closely at the difference of the 70s BFG's and modern BFG's. Modern ones have a rounded edge from tread surface to side walls and look fatter. I have owned both types.

  • "how did you build this?"....."ahh ya know a piece from here, a piece from there." lol that movie is the greatest.

  • It truly was built "a piece from and a piece from there"

  • why 3 stars !!! WHAT THE F*** JUST GIVE THIS VID 5 STARS !!! ITS THE LAST OF THE v8's WERE TALKING ABOUT ( lol )

  • OMFG !!!! By far the best replica I've seen....like it's jumped off the big screen and into your possesion.

    Good on ya mate!!

  • Burnouts not a problem. Buy you some repro Cooper bias-ply's and you're good to go.

  • I've recently put on some newer BFG T/As so should have some new vids soon

  • Better see a burnout! ha lucky guy! how much HP it running?

  • beleive me...I'm working on it. Going after better gearing as what's in there now makes for very lousy take offs. The motor is not putting out much....maybe 325 at best as the engine is basically stock. i had another engine for it but decided against it as I prefer the awesum milage it now gets

  • Yeah...the car's still cool.

  • looks good. sounds fantastic.

  • But IMO car turbo engine is fake

  • The blower (supercharger) is a fake (not really working) as the movie car was set up the same way. It may not have mega power but I can cruise all day on a tank of fuel.

  • Very nice work..my favourite car of all time - I still wince when the 2nd car wrecks in the Mad Max 2.

That sounds raises the hairs on my neck.

  • yeah that car sounds perfect haha what did you do to get the original movie sound? special exhaust?

  • nice! - well done!

  • Replicating flaws? Cool, which ones please? Love the sound, its spot on.

  • Zoomies, hood off an one side, headlamp covers, rusty bolts on blower, front indicator light crooked....just to name a few

  • And we all know about you being ana.... a stickler for details! LoL!!

    Excellent!

  • Incredible reproduction and great sound

  • That's the original or a replica?

  • It is a replica. I've tried my best to make it as accurate as possible....right down to replicating flaws

  • Putaiiiiiiiiin ! ça dékiiiiiiiiiiiiiire ! ! ! ! LA vopiture par excellence ! WOUUUUUUUH OUUUUUUUUUH c'est quoi comme voiture ça?

  • Merci, content vous populaire il, regard pour plus tot.

  • my favorite car of all time,we have the origional at cars of the stars not far from where we live

  • yeah, in the Lake District of all bloody place.
