People comment on every single one of these videos about traders calling in orders... you obviously have never seen a real trading floor if you think that's an outdated practice. This isn't scottrade.
@Shaedo1989 - don't know about the Brits, but it's an outdated practice in hedge funds and most firms in the US. Especially for the small blocks they're buying/selling.
The aren't making logical trades. If bank shares are already low, means market already priced in a sharp loss in earnings, any sign of hope could trigger a rally...how can they go full short
cannot believe someone would pay for bloomberg keystations, office space and give 1million to a group of people with not so much the 0 trading experience, but 0 guidance. its clear NO ONE has any idea what they are doing. this is truly mind boggling!!!!!!!!!! think this production is set up for viewership cause no one in his/her right mind would experiment/risk like this real money.
its money . if you are going to spend 10000 on a arms manufactor and you know its going to africa but you are going to make 100000 on it, you will do it
what is the issue with "ethical trading" youre trading to make money for yourself or your boss not to save the world...there is something wrong with that guy.
@dodododa great answer when you dont say what your yearly income is - I did to and I am breaking even , and so I was under the crisis, more or less making zero every week
@Oldsoho He's making a reality show, not seriously trying to beat the world at Monopoly. If his traders didn't mess up or lose their cool, it would be terribly boring. They earned their money, at least more fairly than anyone from Big Brother or Jersey Shore. And now viewers know his name, which is kind of like value.
Lex Van Wank merchant. These bunch of rookie tossers lose money because they fail to follow rules so he gives them MORE money. What a hopeless wank bag.
how much money was van dam making off of this show? With no training, I can't see Van Dam giving 8 million to complete novices unless this show's rights are giving him a good hedge. Hey, I'm not a professional trader my self, but I do know the difference between my ass and a whole in the ground - trading wise.
@Irondukesteve mr lex van dam acts accordingly to his feelings - mr lex van damme is a bit of a bully if the truth be known - strange really we all think bullies finish at school but the carry over to the workplace.
