Another problem is that technology through ice core sampling only allows us to go back to a certain point in history, which just so happens to be right at the end of the last Ice Age...the 2nd coldest point in recorded history. So yeah, we've definately "warmed" from that point.

Your models have all been created after the fact none of them have been accurately able to predict anything. Another problem is that technology through ice core sampling only allows us to go back to a certain point in history, which just so happens to be right at the end of the last Ice Age...the 2nd coldest point in recorded history. So yeah, we've definately "warmed" from that point.

Well there was drastic warming in the middle ages 1300-1500 worse than we have now. There were vineyards in Northern England you can read all about it, it is historical fact. Of course that wasn't man made and the world didn't come to end so I believe the 'science' is anything but settled. There are millions of inputs that go into something as complex as our weather and there is no way we can create models that can provide an accurate prediction, the weather man can't even get 5 days right.

Science is based on observable repeatable experiments. Anything else is theory. We cannot repeat the beginning of the world and prove 'Evolution' as the creative force. 'evolution' (with a lowercase e) can be proven with bacteria mutating over time. Observable & repeatable. Beware of equivocation on that point it is a common mistake. Global warming relies on man made models & extrapolation thus scientific theory.

The middle-age global warming levels were passed in about 1990, now after 20 years of sheer temperature rise, we have massively exceeded the warming of those times. Check the data your self. Middle-age warming was also isolated to the Northern Atlantic, whereas current warming is global.
Ice core data and historical data comparisons are extremely close, the technology isn't accurate enough to give causality or not. But, we do understand principles of science to be able to provide explanations.

The middle age temperatures of highly isolated areas may have only just been reached, the global temperature rise of the MWP was passed in 1990.
I'm not stating there will be catastrophic weather events at all. I think Day after tomorrow was one of the worse things to happen to the promotion of green and environmentally friendly living, because it was so unrealistically overblown.
I do however suspect that people in Bangladesh and other low lying areas will be badly affected, and that sucks.

I always find it interesting that everyone's forgotten about the 70s, and how it was going to be global freezing as the new ice age engulfs us all. Then the disaster books were all about the end of time under layers of ice and snow.
The unpalatable truth is that we are living in a short period of clement weather between two vast ice epochs. The concept that the planets weather is somehow normally benign is just paganistic primitive rubbish. It's normally hostile, and we can't change that.
