Aaliyah's good dancing skills were recognized, but she was already a very popular artist before she even started making dance videos, and she didn't even make that many. Her cool-sexy-but tomboyish swag is what made her stand out. Young people hush it, and older folks like me, stop lying and overrating her.

I feel like people first off should not compare Aaliyah to any of todays stars because we have no idea what kind of music Aaliyah would make this day. She was definitly ahead of her time and my favorite artist of all time. People say Ciara is a better dancer, but Aaliyah died 10 years ago, i'm sure Ciara danced differently 10 years ago too. Aaliyah's style of dance would have advanced so much by now. Either way, she was a phenominal artist and will truly be missed.

As editer's and producers they should have not released Raven saying that statement they could have cut that out. They should have kept this video focused on Aaliyah in peace they didn't have to put that clip in.

@Donovandoit2me Aaliyah ain't influencing anybody now? i think you need to do your research on that one.. there's still artists to this day talking about how she influenced them. Ciara may be a better dancer than Aaliyah (even though I prefer Aaliyah's dance style) but she is in no way a better artist. Have u ever listened to At Your Best and realised thats a 14 year old singing that, or listened to Aaliyah's Ave Maria? Btw, Aaliyah had double platinum albums before she passed away.
