@Grifkylian Never had a chance to drive one. No doubt its a good car, as-well is the viper ACR, more so if your 40 years old. But for ~ 15-20k cheaper you get a GTR that produces faster track time's as well and 1/4 mile time. Future mods for the GTR will put it in the 9sec street car class with little investment still under the Zr1's base price. Just think.. If the American company's used more efficient "Gizmo's" what sort of balls to the wall fun could be had.

i agree with everybody that the GT-R is superior in terms of technology and quality, but for some reason I still rather go with a Z06/ZR1..those are world class sports car too you know...they can handle VERY well around the turns. For the money though, nothing in the WORLD can compete with a GT-R. Incredible car and this video shows that.

@alliancemad they're two completely different cars. There's launch control and tons of electronic 'helpers' on the GT-R to make it as fast as it is. It's still pretty impressive that a car with a manual and RWD can even come close. The GT-R slaps physics hard in the face with its heavy weight and somewhat-low power. Take away those 'electronic nannies' and put a manual in there and the GT-R wouldn't even come close...

The original designer of the Corvette, Harley Earl, designed the Corvette to compete with the European track cars of the time. The Corvette has always had track racing in its blood through the race equipped ZR-1 stingrays of the 70's to the more recent Z06s of the 90's and today.
