Wonderful. I now realise why it is so beautiful. The boys are singing naturally, without the constraint of some artificial technicality to spoil the effect.

I am English by birth and reside in Australia but my heritage is Norwegian. The Solvuguttene is excellent in its own right just as the Wiener Sangerknaben is. They are two excellent choirs with a wonderful history and sound.

Bin erst seit kurzem Fan der Lübecker Knabenkantorei, einem Chor, der gerade in den letzten zwei Jahren einen unglaublichen Zulauf von sangesbegeisterten kleinen Jungen hatte.

Das sollten die Grundschulen doch bitte mal aufgreifen, soweit sie es nicht bereits praktizieren !

The Director, Torstein Grythe, is in "The guinnes book of world records" for directing a choir longest - 66 years! He is now 90 years old.

This is a very pleasant boychoir that celebrated its 50th anniversary in 1990 under the same director, the man pictured here, Torstein Grythe, who is now 82 years old and still conducting! They make a very unsophisticated choral sound. In this particular video sample, they sing with a clean harmony that is sweet and beguiling. I give them four stars (although I mistakenly hit the three star rating - sorry!)
