You can have them all! What in the world am I going to do with them? Oh, I know put them in the bag with the first origami madness when I made trees, stars and snowflakes!!
Sharon, this technique amazes me, do you still have to follow a book or do you know all the bends and folds by heart now? Great job! And look at all these responses?!!!!
Thank you! Most of them were made with old calendars, the date boxes for the bottom and the pretty picture for the top! But, I will use anything that is not nailed down when I get in the origami frame of mind! I do have some special paper with different designs on each side, but I didn't use it this time.
Hey there Sharon-Magnificent boxes..you made these from old calenders..wow clever idea! They'd make great gift boxes. I love it when people recycle and make something really cool like that. I have a box full of old trinkets, jewlry, buttons etc and I make picture frames by glueing them on. I should start taking pictures of them and make a video. I just never thought of doing that.
I can't stop once I start this origami stuff! Using photos is such an easy way to make a video Mary! Why not give it a try! We'd love to see them! Thanks for watching!
Oh, yaaaay - I LOVE making origami boxes. I also have a supply of old calendars to pull from, as well as way, way too much paper sitting around. It's fun to make desk drawer organizers that way, too.
Have you made nested boxes? (Some of your stacks seem to imply that you have). Even more fun!
I have not made nested boxes by intent, but some of them can nest. I was pulling paper from everywhere! Once I start on a kick like this I can't stop! The calendars are cool because you can use the squares for the bottom and a picture for the top! Thanks for checking out the video!!
They are soooo beautiful. I just love them. What a cool way to store stuff, like craft supplies, art supplies, a sewing box maybe, bills (oooh I have a lot of them).... :) and just anything, oh yes and books. Your photography skills are great. I don't see anything wrong with them at all.
Thanks Ginny! I don't seem to have the knack of controlling the lighting. Sometimes my pictures seem to have too much light on them. I'm working on it. Hubby always did our photography, but now I have my own camera to figure out. My videos of the grandchildren are comprised mostly of photos taken by my son when they visited. The kids move waaaay too fast for me to get their pictures!
I have a problem with the sun when I am shooting a movie. It always looks great on movie maker but after it is uploaded on You Tube it gets blurry. That's why I just added a note on my last vid to watch in high quality. I tried it and it looks much better.
Yes, its a Canon Powershot A590. I had an older Sony but it only took 10 second videos. I took some pics and videos at a nice park today and they look pretty good! Maybe I'll post them...hubby may unplug my computer...I've been in and out of this room all day! lol
You too? I have been on this computer most of the day. It must be video day! I just posted another vid on my channel. If you read the intro, you will see I am becoming verrrry deep and dark!
Yeah my camera is an Olympus FE-280. It does a lot and I can record movies, take self portraits and a lot of other things. It downloads to the laptop very quickly too.
One of my co-workers bought one and then I took her recommendation and got one too.

Kawaii! Beautiful boxes! What is the paper which you used? When I make origami in Japan, I use the exclusive paper.

Haha, not only creativity is needed, but lots of time on your hands to do mindless activities! What the heck to do with them now...

No, thanks Sharon1944 for your kind words and video-response! ^_^
It's just amazing how beautiful those boxes look!
The calendars idea is just genius, because the final result is just eye-catching and professional-like!
And now... well, let's find something for to fill all those boxes! ;-D
5* of rating and adding it to my favorites!
Thank you very much, lady, for this joyful smile you've given me! ^_^
