@suryamoorthi The dash kit Metra recommends for your vehicle (Metra 99-3010S) will accommodate Single or Double DIN sized stereos. This Pioneer unit is a standard Double DIN size, so you shouldn't have any issues fitting it into your car.
@hixung17 This will fit a 2007 Nissan 350Z. The convertible model might have a different radio, but it should fit all the same. You can use any double-din sized radio for your vehicle, and use the Metra 99-7602 to mount it.
@Malpisonek Space for a double-din radio is available in a 2003-2006 Volkwagen Golf models. Some 2002 models work if the radio space is large enough. Custom dash mounting and trim may be required to get this to fit properly into the dash though, since you are limited on space in that particular vehicle.
that's a bummer, but thats the only thing that i can say can be a con, about this deck, the removable face is awesome, a big theft deterrent. and can also use the screen as a portable GPS, awesome, and of course its pioneer (the only brand deck i recommend)
I have this deck, i am very pleased with it, i recommend pioneer to all. i have one question, is there an optional remote that can be used with this deck?
@paz3377 Unfortunately this particular radio doesn't have capabilities to use a remote control. It is possible to integrate this radio to your steering wheel controls by using a PAC SWI-PSv1 depending on the vehicle.
I have this deck. You don't have to pay any fees whatsoever. GPS signals are sent down for free, and there's no control over anyone using them. For the most part, GPS devices do not require a fee, though some have added services for traffic and map updates that sometimes require fees (And sometimes don't).
The GPS lacks enough points of interests. You have to pay pioneer $100+ for a decent database. However, if you know the address you are headed to, this is not a problem.
@str8upthug11 The bass level adjustment is found in the audio adjustment option in your initial settings screen. For more information just check out the user manual on Pioneer's website for in depth information, this particular adjustment can be found on page 104 of the user manual.
@ripsnorting13 That should work. The deck would try to read the USB device to see if it can play anything through it, but there is a 12v connection through the USB. Essentially that should work just fine.
I have this deck, and I do charge things via the USB. Be aware that the power coming out of the USB is about half an amp, as far as I can tell, which should be enough for many devices. My GPS has no problems with it.
@secnpa After checking with the product manual, I'm not able to confirm compatibility with Bluetooth Audio Streaming. I'm positive the newer Pioneer units have this feature, so if you're interested in bluetooth audio streaming, I would go with the X910 or X920BT by Pioneer as they're a bit newer and support this feature.
@waaavycrocket I'm assuming it does not bluetooth audio stream. You might be able to confirm with Pioneer, but the list of sources this will play audio with does not include Bluetooth - which leads me to believe it will not even be able to reach this source.
@nylander22 The AUX in the rear is to basically clean up your dash so there's not wires hanging from your new aftermarket stereo. The rear AUX is in the form of 2 RCA females from the back of the unit. If you want to convert it to an easily connectible 3.5mm jack, you can use a remote mount 3.5mm jack that has 2 RCA male plugs. You can then mount your AUX port where ever you like in your vehicle! We carry these on our main site, just enter the phrase "CCAAUX" into our search bar.
Does this have a hard drive for storing music? A friend of mine has a Pioneer system where every cd he puts in is automatically saved on his unit. Do you know of any that might do this?
i just bought it and got it installed the other day, so far i havent been able to get the colors to stop scrolling, its annoying as shit, also cant get updated maps, wich is annoying as fuck
@binhduh@dustinallen1982 you have to change the color in the avic feeds software on your windows pc. After creating a color, saving it to the SD card, copying the settings to the radio, press and hold SRC button until all sound comes off, then press the volume knob for a few seconds and initial settings will appear, select illumination color, change from SCAN to CUSTOM.
Okay, I found the above info in a review of the unit. Now that I have it installed I can give you the actual process to pick one color - no computer needed. Press the source button until the audio is off, if you are viewing the map press the mode button. Now press in the center of the volume button until the secret menu appears. Press the volume button to the left or right to pick the color you want and then press source to turn the audio back on and exit the menu.
Holy shit you get some retarded questions. What is a din? Good christ. I think you need to start responding with "Let me google this for you"'s website.
This unit DOES NOT HAVE PORTABLE GPS. The face plate is detachable, but it does not have a GPS antenna and it can not function as a portable GPS when detached. You detach so you can program it on your PC using USB. And it can not stream music.
Under the car stereos & headunits section of our site, you can select your car and see what size stereo will fit your car. According to that, you can fit a Single DIN stereo and this AVIC-U310BT will not fit :( You can look into getting a flip-out navi, such as the Eclipse AVN7000 or the Kenwood KVT-514 with Navigation add-on module.
what kind of equilizer does this have? ive been looking around and cant find out at all, i got a pretty nice system and like to controll everyhting from my deck...
DIN and Double DIN are the two standard sizes of radios. Typically, a single DIN measures about 2-1/8 (50mm) in height by 7-1/8 (180mm) wide. A double DIN stereo is twice the height of a singe DIN. The AVIC-U310BT is a double DIN.
For more information on DIN and Double DIN stereos, check out the SonicElectronix Knowledge Base.
It refers to the size of the system. Double din units are twice as tall as single din units. It's from ISO Standard 7736. Originally the Germans developed the standard, and DIN is an acronym for Deutsches Institut für Normung, meaning German Institute for Standardization.
The Pioneer deh-p7100bt is a great stereo! It sounds great, really nice equalizer, excellent Bluetooth and iPod controls. The worst complaint we hear about the deh-p7100bt is that the clock display is small. But if your vehicle has another clock in it, that wouldn't be a problem at all.
Have this unit, worst of it's kind. Check AVIC411 forums. This hangs, freezes, think you are driving accross fields, forgets to tell/show you the turns. Bluetooth freezes almost every time. Database does not have main routes from 5 years ago. You have reset unit when ever freezes and looses all settings. POI does not have Restaurants or Gas stations, but has cemetary?? What are they thinking? No A2DP, No video, can not play from SD card, better off buying cheap $250 7" screen GPS unit off ebay.
Will it fit in a 2006 Mazda3 coupe?
And if so, is there anything I need to buy for the radio/GPA/car to make it compatible?

@Weeshna Yes, this unit will fit in this vehicle. You will just need the appropriate wiring kit and dash kit in order to install it.
