Please! I worked on the Ron Paul national campaign and he is not a Catholic. His kids were all baptized Episcopal and he attends (but is not a member) of a Baptist church. In a Q&A during the campaign he replied that he was a "Christian" when asked about his religion.

I am not trying to argue against peace I would love to see that.. The thing people seem to forget is that they hit us twice and the first time we did nothing about it then a few years later they hit us again harder and it was much worse. We have to stay in that region to keep the terrorists from reorganizing.. We don't need to be over there. First of all we're not even where the supposed hijackers were. Bush said he didn't really care about finding Bin Laden. You can't fight terrorism with a conventional army going through house raids and such. Most of the Iraqis are just trying to protect their home and their families from foreign invaders. The same thing you and I would do if there was a foreign invader in our homeland. How do you tell these guys from 'terrorist'? You cant.
The only way to fight terrorism is through investigative and policing activities. When there are suspects they have to be convicted in a court of law. We can't police the world, like you said they will relocate. The only thing we can do is secure at and within our borders.
The best thing we can do though is change are foreign policy to a more friendlier one so we don't create so many enemies. We shouldn't have occupying forces in 130 countries around the world including Muslim countries like Saudi Arabia. We should not interfere in the internal affairs of other countries and let them participate in commerce without our involvement. We should not side and donate billions to Israel who has worse human rights violations than China.
We should also not donate and give weapons to Muslim countries. We once were the shinning city on a hill and were respected by all the world. Now we are the scourge. We need to spend our time and talents building a positive future for humanity, invest in new forms of energy and health that will better humanity, whether than cower in fear. Remember home of the 'brave'. Then we'll be respected again and the 'terrorists' will be discredited. Instead we have only given credence to their cause.

I agree with you that we should drill here, but it will never happen and its not because of the "tree huggers". That may be the excuse. Henry Kissinger made a deal in the sixties with all of the oil producing nations that requires them to sell oil in dollars and includes us not drilling here.
If we drill here then they're free to sell in other currencies and being the dollar has no backing other than oil, this will implode the dollar. This is why we have to go to war with Iran because they are selling oil in euro which is why the dollar is in free fall. If our dollar was backed by gold like it used to be then we wouldn't have this problem.

Though you can never justify way, the video makes it seems as if Japan was a peaceful nation doing nothing at all and then BOOM. This brings up an important point, how do you fight a war against just the "evil" without collateral damage. Essentially, you can't. You can't drop a bomb on the military. Please! I worked on the Ron Paul national campaign and he is not a Catholic. His kids were all baptized Episcopal and he attends (but is not a member) of a Baptist church. In a Q&A during the campaign he replied that he was a "Christian" when asked about his religion.

I am not trying to argue against peace I would love to see that.. The thing people seem to forget is that they hit us twice and the first time we did nothing about it then a few years later they hit us again harder and it was much worse. Iran has been a threat to us for a very long time. They would be more than happy to launch a nuke just to sow the world they are powerful.. You are right though in the fact that Iranians themselves are peaceful but their government is not.. Talks are not working so we basically have 2 choices we take out their nuke plants or we wait for them to launch one and then it will be to late..

If we invaded Iraq for the oil then where is it? I have friends still in Iraq who know exactly what they are fighting for who have seen the camps. You're right we do have enough oil to last for 300 years and we don't need their oil. But its not about our need for their oil its about controlling the oil market. Why is oil over $4 a gallon. Because we took Iraq off line. Global production went for 6 Million in 2003 to 3 Million today.

The Neocon philosophy of spreading democracy through use of force, and preemptive strikes is now discredited.
But...at what point is it morally/legally acceptable to strike an opponent that you believe is preparing to strike you? Didn't Israel do this in the '72 war? The arabs were massing and Israel couldn't afford to absorb the arab's first strike. So they struck first.
What bothers me is that the alternative is we must agree to take someone else's first strike before we respond.

Though you can never justify way, the video makes it seems as if Japan was a peaceful nation doing nothing at all and then BOOM. This brings up an important point, how do you fight a war against just the "evil" without collateral damage. Essentially, you can't. You can't drop a bomb on the military. The Japanese people weren't all behind this fight, but their government was. In war, the reality is no country really cares about the damage they are doing to the other. This was the "economical solution." Besides "everything is fair in love and war" so deal with it. I'm not a Christian, so I don't care about that aspect.

Americans fight best when the other side cant fight back, they attacked Grenada, a weak country with no standing army (a equal fight as far as the U.S. is concerned) They starved Iraq in the 1990's with there santions not even letting medicines in, killing a lot of Iraqi's. America would never have the guts to attack China, Russia or Nth Korea. Americans are not good people, they are very cowardly & greedy. The U.S. got what it deserved on 9/11.

The american government, like any in the world is greedy. As for fighting power, there is actually no comparison. Though these nations my have manpower, they lack anywhere close to the technology needed to be on par with America (North Korea? that nation is very poor and weak). As to whether or not the US deserved what it got is a matter of speculation, it certainly showed them that the Middle East does not like them.

Screw the cops, there worse than the crims, I've known ex cops & crims and the cops are worse. The Victorian Police Force is very corrupt, they even bash children, I've had bad experience with them even as a child. I've know of a instance when 5 cops bash a 14 y.o. boy senceless and when he complained to a senior cop he just gave him 50cents and said tell it to someone that cares, tho they were Queensland cops.
