The guy was holding a camera in one hand and a .357 in the other, which is why the recoil seemed to be a lot.

With a good hold on a .357 it is VERY controllable, just loud. You should try firing a .357 before you get in arguments over them on the internet.

Also look at the barrel while the cylinder is open on both and compare the size, the one in this video looks much smaller.
