I feel these courses have a habit of training up kids to be technicians and not musicians. This has become more apparent in the last few years with so many new producers making super polished technically great pieces, before becoming influenced enough to make informed and sophisticated musical decisions of their own. Before these courses were commonplace it took a very determined and passionate individual to have the drive to progress into learning studio skills. like a musical quality control
