as for video, i think it sucks. camerawork is awful and vid is too long, missing some tricks, actually, best tricks performed by mig-29, and i dont get why do U show Mig on runway 10 times or so? The plane is great, but this vid sucks
Isn't SU 37 a better jet that can do the same thing? What about speed between Mig 29 OVT, SU 37, SU 47? The fwd arching wings of 47 r supposed to give better manoeverability but doesn't that reduce speed?
Forward swept wings produce less drag and more lift actually. On a normal sweep, you have a large air vortex flowing across the wing and to the tip, which produces drag. The Forward sweep helps eliminate alot of that because the air is being forced inwards, where there can't be a tip to roll of, and also that means alot more of the air is going to be forced over that wing, producing more lift.
Just to say alot of Russian / USSR (at the time) could to this since the late 70'sits all about thrust vectoring which was used by the Su-27 really early. Anway thats the info burst.
