  • I totally float... I feel so light that it seems heavy to bear the feeling..

  • I completly agree with you when you say that you can escape reality when listening to Sigur Rós either loud or with headphones. I apsolutely love it and everytime I meet a person who hates or doesn't like Sigur Rós, I feel kind of sorry for that induvidual because chances are this induvidual hasn't had this special feeling (Escape/Piece? Don't know what can describe it)....

  • The conserts are pretty much the same. I've been to a few in Iceland including one of those shown in "Heima" and love it every time. The atmosphere is really strange. Sometimes you see people releasing tears.

  • The best thing about Sigur Rós for me, is not knowing or not having a clue what the song is about and not understanding the lyrics. I think if there is no meaning to the song then ones interpretation is far more powerful than any artist could every imagine. Their music is powerful and very emotional and can speak more than any lyric could. It kills me that you seen them around Iceland. Love to have been there. I got to see them in Manchester, Dublin and a festival. Amazing every-time.

  • You almost got it right, it's a bit formal but correctly it is "Þakka þér"(Thank you). There are of course other sayings:

    Takk(thanks)

Takk fyrir(a bit more like 'thank you')

    Þakka þér(a formal 'thank you')

But good effort none the less. Good video :)

  • Excellent stuff, cheers. I used on online translator so I had a feeling it could have been a bit odd. Do you speak Iceland?

  • Yes, I do speak Icelandic...I am born and raised here in Iceland. I wouldn't trust those online translators, I have noticed that they are not quite accurate :) You have to excuse my spelling, if there is anything wrong with it, I am quite drunk and a little stoned...it took me 20 minutes to write this, cheers!

  • 20 minutes, that is quite good for a drunk/stoned person. Oh how I wish I was drunk and stoned in Iceland right now. Some day I will explore your country. Amazing. And I checked, no spelling mistakes. Keep on stoning it up. cheers

  • Hah! I don't even remember writing that comment yesterday! But be warned, it's not cheap being a stoner in Iceland, just one gram of hashish is 3500kr (50 bucks), but then again hashish is a lot stronger than marijuana...
