  • Wow Nice job Guys! I practice Karate, Hapkido, Kickboxing, Braz Jiu-Jitsu, Krav Maga, and train in a few weapons. I'm a Black Belt and First Degree in Premier Martial Arts (Kickboxing,Weapons,Karate), I've also started WTF Tae Kwon Do. I'm only a yellow belt but loving it. These clips were truly an inspiration for me. Thank you :)

  • WTF grandmasters are based out of Korea, to where as ITF grandmasters can be any random high ranking black belt. I have belts in both, there isn't much difference. And both use pads for tournaments, it'd be crazy not to wear some sort of protection in a sparring competition.

  • @9thninja No pads are worn in Kyokushin Karate. It's pretty Brutal, lol

  • were they hitting apples??

  • olle muy buena la cancion al principio como se llama?? y muy buen video :D

  • whats the name of the song

  • I'm in awe of the jump kick the guy does at around 0:52. Beautiful movement.

  • 1:10 WTF!!!!! GERMANY SIRIUSLY????

  • Real nice video guys!

  • very nice video

  • at&t

  • Lol. im a taekwondo based fighter. i also joined cmpettion in our school only.

i also learned karatedo,.. at my old college school. .. and then .. my friend told me that . hes a muaythai fighter. so i join.

but my purpose in muaythai ., is just to learned there , style in fighting. .

but the speed ,and kicking fast , will never be change . because . i want to combine taekwndo and muaythai . to myself . and its effective.

  • ITF 4ever nice goood WTF copy ITF

  • The level of fighting of ITF player is very bad respect to WTF. ITF is good for demonstration not for fighting.

  • Ok what does a WTF Fighter do when some1 gets in close to them in a real fight? An ITF fighters instincts will take over and the'll start punching a WTF fighter is pretty much kick orientated! You obviously dont know much about ITF if you are to say that its only good for demonstration. Its ok to hav your opinion of course, but you cannot say that ITF is not good for fighting. WTF vs ITF in a street fight, the favour is with the ITF Fighter because he punches as well as kicks!

  • @eoinb57 im WTF and I did some boxing to

and btw, everyone knows how to punch in a face

  • @olokix

ummm no, WTF didn't copy ITF, taekwondo originated from taekyyon and was heavily influenced by japanese and chinese martial arts. WTF branched out from ITF after disputing over how the rules of sparring should be.

And the fact that you're saying a martial art copying another martial art is just ridiculous, martial arts as a whole began as imitations of nature

  • Age is of no matter when it comes to training in martial arts, it's all in the mindset of "do you want to achieve your goal?" Whether it's TKD, Jujitsu, Karate, Muai Thai or whatever you strive for. I started late and reached my goal to become a black belt before I was 40. I tested and achieved that one month before my 40th birthday. But diversify your interests, never limit yourself to one type of martial art. It can only help to expand your body & mind.

  • True, the best would be if we learn karate and kung fu.

  • krzyazn you're just an ignorant!! Get lost!

  • @krzyazn

    so is life in general.

  • im 11 and im a 1st dan black belt i got my black belt when i was ten chek out my vid search taekwondo demonstration fight awsome its the first vid on the list

  • so you started TKD when you were 7 and you perfected the forms well enough to progress to a black belt? your instructor must be a disgrace to the art.

  • Its best to try other Martial Arts :)

try out Muay Thai or boxing!

its pretty fun! or maybe wrestling!

dont worry about getting hurt because it happens to every one! but you will get used to i and you will get very good at fighting :)

  • I believe you can achieve black belt if you train 3 to 4 times a week, I started at 39 and Im now 45, took me 5 years to get black but I was training 3 times a week, could have gotten it in 4 years but wanted to earn my belt so left it for another 12 mths to train

  • My friend khahari does ITF tae kwon do, and he feels WTF is BULLSHIT

  • 1:09 ~ POW! Take that Germany! LOL

    I love TKD!

  • tnx i figured i need to trained my stretching skills but tnx the thing i like the most about martial arts/taekwondo is that everybody has respect for you and others

    tnx

  • lol im 20 and just started wtf, im a yellow belt now and came 3rd place in london open tournemount woohooo, check out ma vid!!

  • try out Muay Thai :) u will learn alot about it

  • hello,

im 16 years old is it to late for me to start with taekwondo? does it matther at all?

    just want to know tnx

  • It is not to late at all, but you have definitely to work/train harder than somebody who is younger, especially to improve your stretching skills.

    Good Luck!

  • I told my dad about wanting to join TKD the other day and he said I was to old for it.. and im 13.. but really its never too old (unless your over the age of 60 probabl) to do TKD

  • Dude I was in TKD for 2 years back when I was 12-14 yr old and will never regret that I decided to get into it at that time, so 13 is not too old. My suggestion is to not wait any longer if you want to start it. Its better younger but you are still in good age to practice it. If you were 17 though I would suggest to pursue a career instead, that is the main reason why its better to do it younger you have less things to worry about!!! plus naturally you have better flexibility.

  • Yeah thanks, im trying to pursuade my dad

  • dude theres a senior blackbelt at my club whos 60 lol i'm 15 been doing it for 5 years and I see new people join all the time ages from 7-30+ years old

  • flipsnipez,

you are never to old to try out Martial Arts

you should really check out "Muay Thai" and "boxing" or Judo or SAMBO or wrestling or jiu jitsu

cause tkd sometimes lacks good technique, your 13, wich is actually VERY YOUNG and u can take that as a advantage

  • i kno that was a long time ago, its just i dont have a ride because my dads tired when he gets from work and mom doesnt drive

  • tkd is not as what you it is it's a good self defence!.

  • yes really good actually if you see someone like Hwoarang perform they are awesome.. :D !

  • yeahhh taekwondo taekwondo

  • hahaha 1:23 right in the nuts!!

  • who ever made this is the most smartest person ever!!

  • who is the great genius who has done this fantastic video??? in the begining it's like tekken...

    tae forever!!!!

  • hmm good vid but it'll be more dangerous if u dont put shoes on when u kick the apple in the swords or knives like the demo team i've seen in hamnadang tournament xD

    nice kicks thou

  • nice video, whats the song called ?

  • im not sure what the name is but its by crystal method

  • like attracts like and practice makes perfect.

me, i never give up untill I master the 540 kick. its very hard. im crazy to that kick.

  • lol yeah same here man... lol, i got the steps down in my head for it, its just that i need the height to do it... i can barely do it but i always land way to early.

  • in martial arts you start put as a white belt which means you are pure and have no knowledge of the art, but as you understand more, your belt darkens like yellow, orange, then gree, blue etc, until you reach black, which means you know alot, then you start learning more as you climb up through the Dan grades.

  • Once you receive your 1st Degree Black Belt, the REAL training starts.

  • =) 1st degree is only the first step.

  • exactly my friend :) the common misconception of a black belt is that people say that a black belt is a "master of the martial art"

  • Oh I forgot to mention in my comment that 1st degree is when the REAL training starts.

  • acctluy in my taekwondo colour belts are to train all the basic stuff like self- def one step sparring pattern etc.

1st degree black is a good achivement but u still got a long way to go, it represents mastery of all the basics.

3rd degree means uve mastered all of the black belt basics 4th degree and + is an awesome achivement beacuse it means uve almost mastered the most important things, body and mind.

  • my jiu jitsu teacher is 4th degree jiu jitsu and 3rd degree judo:) he is little but so fucking good xD

  • @MarkSamurai5 i am a 3rd degree in taekwondo but i quite

  • @MarkSamurai5 I got got it can you give me some tips????

  • Is Taekwondo JUST kicking?

  • NO! its english translation is: Kick Punch LIFE. Its more then just self defense, through training in Taekwondo u will learn not only to defend ureself but also to live a better and much healthier life. Really because u will learn self discipline, integrity, respect, and all sorts of things that you will apply to life without even realizing it. Many taekwondo masters are even professors for many colleges and universities.

  • Yeah, I even found out that Korea has a degree in Tae Kwon Do! :)

  • yep focuses on leg power but the hands are slightly used for defence

    30% hand

    70% leg

  • I attend a Taekwondo school, and I can tell you it's not all kicking. If compared to another martial art, our kicking would provide to be on top. We also learn about self defense against type of attack from punching to hair grabs. We have patterns for each belt, and those are mostly hand techniques. According to fight science, our backleg kick is the strongest kick in martial arts (the muai tai kick uses your arms).

  • I want to do Taekwondo, but I don't think I'm flexiable enough to perform all their kicks.

  • that's the whole point of going to the school, you will gain the flexibility, conditioning, and confidence you need to perform the art to your fullest if you stick to it and get a quality instructor.

  • No martial art is just one type of attack, except boxing if you count that. Say if you had only 3 attacks to use on 100 enemies. You wouldn't even make it ot ten KO's before you were yourself because they would learn your moves.

Oh and no, TKD has all kinds of hand strikes, throws, flips and self defense techniques.

  • Alot of you guys clearly misunderstand the concept of tkd. Most of you are so worried about the belt itself that you tend to overlook the process of acheiving it in the first place. As for the black belt a real martial artist would understand that it doesnt stop there, it is only the beginning. I fell that in order to be not only a master in martial arts itself, but balance it out in other parts of your life. As you progress as a martial artist you will know the belt itself doesnt define you.

  • you my friend are wise beyond your years. unless you're slightly older... than your just plain wise ^_^

  • thanx man im only 19yrs old but im just tired of hearing the same stuff because clearly these people just dont get the concept of what martial arts is really about and they never will with the mindset they have. sometimes i feel that you have to ask themselves what is that you really want from martial arts and for yourself, and finally when they figure it out the answer becomes clear to the individual.

  • too many people look towards the destination, not the journey itself.... the destination will always be there, but its the journey that creates and seperates us from just plain athletes. no disrespect towards athletes tho... i'm just saying, we as martial artists shouldn't focus on belts and speedy attacks, but more inwards on mental and spiritual development....

the mind is willing but the body is weak....

  • I'm yellow belt but I don't know the difference betwen WTF and ITF could you explain me?

  • hmm...the biggest difference between the two is that WTF is in olympic but ITF doesn't join olympic...they have their own world tournament.

maybe you could check on other sources to find out more... =)

  • thank's I'll ask my tkd teacher

  • @kenji1to6 wtf dont use hands, or use very litle. ITF use foot and hand balanced/

    sry my eng.

  • @kenji1to6 ITF is the official tae kwon do created by the late grandmaster choi hong hi, the WTF was established by the korean government to create a tournament where all forms or branches of TKD were accepted

i do TKD, i should know;)

  • wtf is fullcontact fighting but without punches to the face , itf is semicontact fighting but punches to the face are allowed! also the poomsae(wtf) has an other name in itf (and other movements)

  • wtf = full contact so you can hit them with all your power and you can do with th oli\ympics

itf= semi contact so you can hit them with protection like boxhandshoes and footdefences

and you can dou own torements like national championsships

  • wtf is only a sport is not realy a martial art or self diff all there do is do Tournament all the time if you your looking for realy marital art do rheetaekwondo or itf taekwondo there are all realy belt blacks unlike sum

  • @psteele005 International Taekwondo Federation and World Taekwondo Federation

  • @psteele005

wtf is olympic they use pads and guards

itf is more free they can do head butts and knees and elbows as well as kicking and puching plus they use no pads mate

  • @psteele005

The biggest diference is that ITF has his power whit other tekniks like punches on the face, and other mowements. Itf is the combination to fight whit your foot and your hands, but the kicks are not so dinamicful like in wtf. WTF has his strong kicks whit dinamic. They are 2 arts of taekwondo. All 2 art has his power, many peopla saying that ITF is better. But its not realy. But is can say ITF is harder. I play WTF. But i hawe started whit ITF. WTF is better to me. Thats all.

  • lololololololololol at skillo0oman you obviously need to do some research

  • im a blue belt in both speratly ( would be well into black belt by now but had to move and new instructors never let me hold my grade) wtf and itf tkd and thyre both really good i have two wicked instructors but both styles like all styles have the good points and bad points.

  • Bro watch wat u say respect both TKD boy

  • Watch what you say.

  • You know what i'm a orange belt in TKD WTF and i kicked a ITF and MT at he same time because the truth is that MT is better than ITF but not near as good as WTF.

  • noob there is no orange belt in TKD noob i got red belt with 2 black stripes

  • yes there is, in ATA there is...its really easy to get though

  • i had orange belt just before the yellow one

  • orange in tkd? okk...

  • Orange before yellow? Where I practice it's yellow then orange.

  • that's strange

  • but well people who has blackbelt at 11 years old started young, but when ur 11 years old and your blackbelt you start to learn my friends, now becoming blackbelt is way to easy in itf already that in wtf its stupid how easy it is itf is worst. Before half of the contenders would not pass their blackbelt now they all pass.

  • how can i download all this video...??

    thank you beore....

  • I am white belt in wtf

  • wtf looks awesome, i should try it out some time

  • I am 9th gup kinda lame been doing W.T.F taekwondo for a month or 2

  • How long does it take to become black belt in this version of taekwondo?

  • depends when you started and how old you are and if have natural skills or if you take time to learn things out
