My wife encouraged them to continue and informed them it would go away over time but her friends were not able to hack it. @sonia989 I think that nomishad dude said that "even if a ugly dude..." thing cause that's how guys are my very bestest best friend / boyfriend told me. @domram12 I felt so guilty I googled it, apparently I'm not the only woman. I asked my OB and she said it was natural because of the hormones released. I still didn't/ don't like it. Do you have any actual information? I'm sure every one is different, as expressed through the posts I've seen here, but telling me to talk to a doctor or read a physiology book really doesn't provide any information. And name calling discredits you. What worries me, is if you totally deny that women could be arroused by breast feeding, a woman might feel aroused, and start feeling guilty(Even though it is possibly natural?). Would any one shed light on this? I have no idea myself.

You might know how you personally feel, but you have no right to speak for other women. There are plenty of women my wife and I have known who did had minimal discomfort during breastfeding. Also, what is the big deal? If a woman breast feeds and has hormones released to make her aroused and then later seeks out her spouse for intimacy I do not see an issue. It just nature strengthening the family bond. You are not an expert on anything you paranoid freak.

I got the idea that it is true because I've experienced it. Other women we know have too. I can't believe you can't accept something to be truth just because you have not experienced it yourself. No one said ALL moms experience this. Some do, some don't. The people who are reacting negatively to this are doing so because they don't want others feeling like it's a bad thing when the hormones do hit.

@sonia989 Hello, breastfeeding does feel good. That is why when you breastfeed, you bleed less and your uterus returns to normal faster after a 'natural' delivery.
Relations drop off after baby due to many different reasons, mainly due to lack of sleep or exhaustion.

For me, it only hurt when my kids were newborns and they were still learning to get the whole areola in their mouth, after we got the hang of it, it no longer hurt. I'd say it took me about a month to get used to it...

I've been breastfed by 4 different women and despite what others say, it was such a turn on to be able to feed. It led to what came naturally afterwards. I would encourage all moms to keep doing it with their spouses too.

It really hurt me alot in the first two weeks but after that it didn't hurt anymore. I get that feel-good hormone and it doesn't hurt anymore and its not annoying, I enjoy it, I look forward to each feeding.
Now 4 months later, for me, it does feel good in the sense that I'm doing whats best for my baby. But as far as it feeling sexual no I don't get that feeling, I hate having my nipples touched sexually. And you are right Sonia989 its about intention/context when it comes to sucking nipples.

I should have made it more clear that it doesn't hurt for *everyone*. I had a breast reduction so maybe that's why it hurt more for me. My friends also had trouble at first, but later had no problems.

My wife has had a few friends that tried breast feeding their new babies and both had to quit because of the pain. My wife encouraged them to continue and informed them it would go away over time but her friends were not able to hack it. Also wanted to add that acording to my wife the only thing that feels good about breast feeding is when she comes home after an 8 hour shift the milk built up hurts her breasts, when the baby eats it releaves that pressure and "feels good" but it's not sexual.

I support what you are doing i just read a thing on how they recalled a baby formula and i would want my kid to be getting nothing but good and not harsh chemicals so keep doing what your doing and yeah my friends have had babys and they said it hurts so i dont see how people think women get enjoyment out of it i think breast feeding is a beautiful thing because its a bond that no one can take from you and your child so i support what you do and dont let these retards tell you what to=)
