  • I'm sorry. I don't mean to sound like a prick but where is the wing chun? Mistake with the title?

Respekt !!!

  • I like watching a girl training also. Who's the girl at 0:26 seconds?

  • das lied ist schwul mam

  • and again...

this was a beginner seminar and most of the people you can see there were first timers;)

in the meantime some of them went quite good and already mix things up with standup fighting.

  • daroosta1>

Oh PLEASE! BBJ would be more employed in a real life fight than Wing Tsun. Wing Tsun aesthetically looks good but a decent pub fighter would take down a wing tsun fighter. If someone incorporated--in my opinion--mai thai and BJJ they would be a unstoppable force.

  • Hallo Sihing!

    Chris

  • And coming from a guy that actually trains BJJ...

The grappling in this video is complete joke. These are very, very low level grapplers.

  • Could that have to do anything with these guys being beginners? You know, like it says in the video description?

  • I keep hearing "BJJ can't beat multiple opponents."

That is a true statement. BJJ doesn't claim to be able to do this.

HOWEVER, how is Wing Chun going to beat multiple opponents when it can't even beat a single opponent? Has anyone ever seen a live demonstration of Wing Chun that wasn't a complete joke?

There are a lot of crazy claims made in the world of martial arts. Everyone claims to know someone, who knows someone else, who has used martial arts to defeat multiple opponents.

  • > Has anyone ever seen a live demonstration of Wing Chun that wasn't a complete joke?

v=Glv1xm8Vk8g looks pretty realistic to me. However most WT students that get into the situation of actually having to apply their skills don't have a friend with a running camera hanging around (and if they do, that guy should either drop the camera or isn't a real friend).

Fighting multiple opponents is AFAIK mostly about where to be in relation to them and shoving them into each other.

  • This is like sad BJJ like its not good enough technique to be effective in a real fight, these guys are gonna try these half ass bjj techniques and get their ass kicked.

  • It's nice to see some Wing Tsun guys learn from other styles. It seems like there are too many videos when the other martial artist just gets wailed on by the Wing Tsun guy but he doesn't do anything. Learning from other good martial artists will keep you from becoming brain washed and help your training overall.

  • Good sweeps from the open guard. Looks like a beginners class. Keep up the good work.

  • lol, this was a beginner seminar...this guys were doing it for the first time. Same with the keylock, you can´t tell a student EVERYTHING at the first lesson.

  • Hi. salutations for the academy.I LOVE wing tsun, it's my favourite martial art; i started by watching Bruce Lee's videos and i was instantly in love with this. But with all due respect, i must express a concern:

i'm very afraid that a wt guy could really not beat a grappler, like a brasilian jiu jitsu guy for example.

  • And sadly, but true, unfortunately this art (brasilian jiu jitsu) has proved to be the best in "no rules" tournaments, like UFC or PRIDE. Even happened that 2 guys from wing chun lost their fights here. So how can we know that wing tsun with all its principles would win a grappler?

  • Ok, even Royce Gracie lost some fights, but always lost to a grappler also, never to a kung fu man or so... So what is the proof we have that Wing Tsun is really effective? Any videos?

Thanks once again and please accept my compliments

  • Hi davidthyko. I only mentioned Bruce Lee so you all could know how i got to Wing Tsun. I know he later incorporated all that could be useful in combat.

  • But the question here is other: I'm speaking about Wing Tsun, not Bruce Lee :) And the question is: The closest that we have to a street fight(which is the real thing) are the no rules championships like UFC (though there are some rules, or they could kill each other). And in UFC, wing chun NEVER WON. So, being Wing Tsun something that I like so much, where are there proofs that it is really effective? where are the videos?

  • Supplementing you wing tsun with grappling and escrima can only be a good thing.

  • Spitze!

Bravo! WEITER SO !

  • ok, i don´t want to discuss that here, mail is better. but first, i learn BJJ from a very experienced and skilled teacher, he´s the head of Bjj in Germany, ok. Second, i learn WT from one of the experienced and most rescpected Sifus in Europe. Why the hell should´t that be wrong??? the way you write shows me that you have never tried to use biu tze against a grappler, i mean a real grappler, not a clown. So long...i write you an email, but anyway, thanks for your critics.

  • and in a real fight, you're usually one on one; bjj perhaps would not be effective against two guys... but a Wing Tsun guy against a bjj guy... who do you think would win? In UFC WT guys or kung fu guys always lose to BJJ, and it's the closest to a street fight... so what is more effective.. Wing Tsun or BJJ on one on one real combat?...

  • u only got no idea of wt did u lern it? understand it? i think no...

  • and ull never get the idea that wt its not ment to be sport, when remove all protection, and eye gouging, gutskicking, neck hiting is alowed, somewhere where u fight to stay alive, huging dont stands a chanse. In mma remember, all eye gouging, gut kicking, throat hits, strictly forbiden. and thu u dont even train.

  • how do you know what people train? visited every dojo all over the world?

  • wing tsun is a dynamic punching and kicking system, if you teach your students grappling on the ground your make a big mistake, better they go to bjj or wrestling, every style has theories and concepts if you mix them up your have bad wing tsun and bad grappling, better concentrate on one thing, the key for fighting a grappler in wing tsun is biu tze chi sao and wooden dummy aplications, not this
