  • GRCs are not a significant problem. They can be won if the people want change. People know what the PAP have/have not done. However, whether its fear or any other logical explaination, singaporeans do not want a change. They can envisage no change. Redrawing of electoral boundaries is only efffective to a limited extent. However you draw/redraw, the area is still there, it will not disappear per se. The people are still there and if they so desire, they can vote for change.

  • Speaking of GRCs,I don't think that is the biggest problem. If you ask Mr Chiam ST,Mr Low TK or the late Mr JBJ,they would tell you that the system works. That residents can have the right to elect a MP whom they feel could best represent them(for eg. Mr Chiam of Potong Pasir). The only question is whether people here are ready for change,a huge change. From what I had observed though, by walking along city streets, town centres, coffee shops, shopping centres and etc,the answer seemed to be 'NO'.

  • wendyneo,

BTW,shall I improvise this for you?

Let us call it the SINKTHEPOOR spirit from now on.:-)

  • can also, Aldeayea! But, Sin-kA-poor sounds more like sin-ga-pore leh. lol

  • aldeayea, yeah! At first, he didn't make any statement. Later, he was told to put on a better "performance" and so hes said a one-liner (paraphrased) "You already have pap in the government, do you voters still want a pap-approved president?", and that was enough to give him nearly 50% of the votes! PAP dare not hold presidential elections thereafter. LOL

  • wendyneo,

    If I could remember correctly....

The man whom Ong Teng Cheong ran against was called Chua Kim Yeow.Yes,Ong Teng Cheong won 57% in that election. My dad was a presiding officer at that time and he told me that Ong TC had lost in many constituencies.Chua Kim Yeow had been asked by the late Goh Keng Swee to run to give people the impression there was a contest.

  • wth is dis?

  • bioni9,

this is the hell super mega big billboard that the Bishan-Toa Payoh grass root "leaders" put up in their grc. SDP took a pic of it, right with a poor elderly man pushing a cart full of cardboards just beneath the placard which reads: "The Singapore Spirit?" The SinkApoor Spirit, I call it!

Those grassroots are trying to brainwash us with their mega billboards. We must all be wary - I will be old one day too! Won't you? Not all have money or filial kids. r u confident of your future? :)

  • These are my videos. What do you call a video owner writing a comment on her own video page?

Spam? Only pap internet brigade doggies will mark my comments on my own video page as spam.

SG under PAP. No freedom. Exposed.

  • Go thru each of my video. All my comments directed against PAP INTERNET BRIGADE has been marked as "SPAM" by doggies from that said brigade!

I INVITE EVERYONE TO READ THESE "SPAM"

This is how SG is run by PAP.

    NO FREEDOM UNDER PAP!

  • Nicely done. Keep up the good work!

  • To all youtubers all over the world,

Here, you can see one of the many ways Singapore's People's Action Party (PAP) govt censor free speech & manages online dissidents - It gets its "PAP INTERNET BRIGADE" running dogs to mark dissenting youtube comments as spam!

In this case, after I reposted, the PAP dog, who was login, marked my new comment as spam immediately! Thus, u can see 2 same comments labeled as spam. This also proved that it was no accident.

4th occurrence since I started youtubing.

  • WARNING TO PAP INTERNET BRIGADE DOGGIES,

As you can see, your plan to (repeatedly) mark my same comment as spam will not work. It will backfire. I will repeat the same comment in forums, in blogs, everywhere within and without Singapore. I will also expose what you did in those same forums/blogs. You will only be tarnishing the image of your boss. That's all.

Want to make it big. Lai ah! I can't wait for my locally-famous video to become internationally famous! Let the show begins! lol

  • WARNING TO PAP INTERNET BRIGADE DOGGIES,

While I find your marking of my own comment on my own video as spam comical, I will not leave it unpunished. I have just complained to youtube, so that they will shut down your acct. If u do it repeatedly, I will take it that u r harassing me and take appropriate response. Moreover, if you push me too hard, I will upload this video & the comment that you marked as spam, to 10+ hosting sites and forums and blogs. Don't regret.

  • Lianhe Zaobao's OMY's chief editor Chua Chim Kang 10/8/08:

"MPs' big photos, paired with residents' tiny photos, seen too often - will citizens have respect, or will they find these billboards v. artificial, v. boring, the more seen, the more distasteful?... with such super magnified photos of leaders, it is worrying that sooner or later, these leaders will get 'big head syndrome' "

Even govt-controlled newspaper's chief editor oso tak boleh tahan!

  • Some pap running dog aka 没娘养的走狗 marked my own comment on my own video as a spam! Go read it below. 4th time it happened since I started putting up videos! LOL

Thank you, doggy, for letting us know that our videos and comments r a serious threat to your boss. And thanks for pointing out exactly what kind of comments ur boss cannot tahan, so that we know what to target in future. Ha!

  • intresting symbolisim used, i never even thought that those setting up the stands simply cut and paste over the old ones.

  • Minister Ng Eng Hen told Singaporeans not to complain about high ministers pay. He said Ministers in Singapore are already a huge bargain....... When Lily Neo(or Amy Khor) proposed in parliament to raise the welfare amount by a mere $30, Minister Vivian retorted" How much do you want? Do you want to eat at restraunt or coffee shop?" Please take into account only the poorest and most destitute qualify for welfare of 290 per month!

  • mic1838,

that's why he is called the "Bargain Hen", by many people. lol.

lky have been saying for 40 yrs that having welfare is bad for sg and welfare will lead to UK and Australia's downfall. He talk c**k - UK and Australia are still thriving 40yrs after his nonsensical prediction! And guess what? Singaporeans are emigrating to UK and Australia, not the other way round!

btw, welfare does not mean higher tax. It means reallocating tax collected - instead of allocating to GIC/Temasek.

  • My GRC is worst... always using the same old photoshop edited picture (from 10 years ago!)

And NON of my MPs are voted in to parliament.

Historically, Wong Kan Seng is one of the worst ministers ever. Raising GST to 7% just to feed his salary is just ridiculous.
