The performance is great. Would it be much better if the sound of the strings can get into the articulation of the flute or the other way. It seems to me that the strings are so articulate and the flute is so linear.
I just started to play 4 months ago so I am learing. AND, you are my idol. Playing with an orchestra is my dream. Keep us the great work, Kyle. I am looking out for your new piece.
Just caught up with this. So it was the D after all. Splendid orchestra; and that flute performance was a gem. I'd buy it as a cd (or off itunes). And that's from someone who - if he listens to it at all - goes for the oboe original!! Absolutely brilliant.
Thank you! And don't worry - I only "grade" people's spelling when they're being mean! Apparently, according to Kyle, the cadenza was the one in the book. Whichever book that is! He actually enjoyed this much more than he'd anticipated. Mozart is not his favorite ...
:) good, cuz it was Mom not Patti and I wouldn't want anyone to think she was ignorant. You must be so proud of Kyle! He is really well on his way--Kim
I AM very proud of Kyle - as I'm sure you are of Patti! We very much look forward to your posting of Patti's work in the coming years ... Thank you, again, for the positive comment(s). Kyle and I both appreciate you and Patti's friendship ... ~ Terry

Awesome job Kyle. Isn't this the same piece that Phoenix played last year at WIBC with Jim Walker? It sounds familiar.
