  • i love this song i love this version. but to be honest i like the studio version better its not rushed and not every one is blended in at the same time.

  • that was the best cover of Shout to the lord I have even heard and I could just feel the love for Christ just coming in waves from it when I watched on tv. lol our church could do with some of their enthusiasm

  • i greatly positive people who feel offended. if it did not really affect them , why would they bother to try to hit back . they would just go things that they make them feel happy

  • Great song sung beautifully!!! Praise the Lord ..any way... I strongly believe many seeds has been planted in lives who are touched by this song,,

Hope more songs are sung...Philipians 1:1....read it ...Whether man abuse it ,,,God thru HIS Supernatural Power can use it!!!

    PTL...GBU

  • :) Philipians 1:18But what does it matter? The important thing is that in every way, whether from false motives or true, Christ is preached. And because of this I rejoice.

  • Always love to hear TV lift up Jesus. Even if you think it is hypocritical, God can use it. There will be a day when every knee shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus is Lord.

Kind of ironic, though, this song comes from Australia and the Aussie got the boot the next night.

I think David Cook is doing good, competition is stiff! He has put Blue Springs Missouri on the map. Thank you, David!

  • I love David's voice, but he's just a bit too smug, arrogant and giant ego'd for me :D Too bad Michael Johns got kicked off, he was one of my favs along with Danial Archuleta and that girl who's last name is white or something etc...

  • Hallelujah

    God bless you all.

Thanks to Hillsong United Sydney and Darlene Zschech for writing this awesome song.

    xx :D

  • This is a worship song to Jesus, that's what it was written for originally.

It's an embarassment to the Church and Christianity, but I guess whoever approved it is somewhere involved in politics.

Bunch of phony ugly MF's from hell.

  • ..i Love thE sOnG!!!!!!& thE sinGers tOo...hEHe!!!!! EspeciaLLy DaviD Archuleta!!!!!!! hEhE!!!i reaLLy Love him!!!!!

  • ..i Love thE sOnG!!!!!!& thE sinGers tOo...hEHe!!!!! EspeciaLLy DaviD Archuleta!!!!!!! hEhE!!!i reaLLy Love him!!!!!

  • Awesome song! But the story kind of fell apart when the news report came on at the end.

  • isn't it so weird that the Bible says thou shall have no idols....AMERICAN IDOLS. but then at the singing competition, they sing about God, thanking him

  • When the command is given to have no idols, it means an idol in the fact of replacing God in your life. American Idol intends the idol to be a singer to look up to... not someone to worship. At least, that's how I see it.

So I thank you for your point, but I think we simply have a case of the same word having different meanings.

  • give as many thumbs down as u want...

anyways, then don't use the word IDOL for the show's name. oh, now someones gonna throw me a comment like "its just a name, and so what if its idol, i don't believe in Jesus"

  • i totally understand where you're coming from. and just as a heads up, i love the lord with all my heart.

    god bless!

  • They all sang great here

  • PRAISE THE LORD!!!! JESUS IS ALIVE!!!

I am so glad that they decided to change the words back to the original lyrics and sing "My JESUS, MY SAVIOR". Hallelujah.

Let's all pull together and make Shout to the Lord reach #1 on Itunes as well as raise money for this great cause! :)

  • ZeroShade07 - They change the words because the secular world trembles at the name of Jesus (think about it).

  • well even though they won't let you say Jesus on Tv... People know who The Lord is ... great performance...*SOUUUULL PATROOOLLL* lol

  • Why did they change the words from "My Jesus, my Savior" to "My Sheperd, my Savior" (wierd)?

I would just like to say that they did a remarkable job on this song and it was pretty awesome that they did a worship song on American Idol...

  • what's so weird about it???lol....

  • The beginning of this song is fantastic. Once everyone else jumps in it sounds a bit cluttered at some points. Syesha's voice sticks out a lot on some group parts... That could be mic work, but I doubt that's solely it.David Cook is a great singer and performer, but I feel that the note that he hung onto was off, especially when everyone else kicks in. Harmony between Syesha and Michael...ehh...

    Still good though...

  • I'm just grateful a song, with a message as powerful as this made it onto one of the most watched TV programs in the world!

That's the power of the Lord!

  • How appropriate that Idol feature a contemporary Christian song since there are more songs written and sung about Jesus Christ than any other personality in history.

  • Wow this is a really good video posting. All the other vids that i've seen on youtube are so blurry. Do you happen to have the opening number - Dont Stop The Music - also?

  • Thanks - High Definition is wonderful! Sorry, this was the only performance I transferred from my DVR.

  • I'm not sure what to even make of this...

  • i think it was the television closed captions its delayed when its captioning singing.

  • I agree, and thankfully it wasn't me!

  • Wow, who ever translated that for the captions is terrible.
