I've been doing it for well over 10 years, and while it's hard it has its benefits. 4 days off a week and with over time a nurse can bring 100k a year.

Burned out from time to time is a progressively degenerative disease. After over 35 years, the money (as opposed to what I'd make as a clerk), is the only thing that has kept me in the field. As others before stated,nursing sucks. It's not the patients or clients that burn you out. It's the administration. Shortstaffing the facility to save $ is the fastest way to lose employees and kill patients. It's not burgers we're flippin faster and faster. Peoples lives are at stake. That'll burn you out

I know many grads whm can't find jobs. Maybe there's a shortage at the bedside, becasue people will get burn out after a couple of years.

there is still a shortage for registered nurses in los angles although is not as bad

I'm sorry that you are burned out.
For some this is a good way to enhance their life. Being as hard as it is at least we have some thing to fall back on.
I completely understand your feeling as I feel burned out from time to time.
