  • soy is good. for those allergy u should not have it. which one u prefer to eat, soy or hamburger? lol

  • i believe that soy is a gmo you can thank Monsanto . soy is not good for you at all look up soy and poison. has any noticed that soy is in every thing

  • @peaveyblazer158 I live fairly close to monsanto. It's horrible. They have run-off into the Missisippi river, just imagine were all that stuff goes and what it does to plant and animal life. The plant itself stinks. I'm sure a very large percentage of soybeans are now GMO.

  • does this include soy beans in natural state?? are those bad??

  • Other popular arguments in support of soy state that fermented products, like tempeh or natto, contain high levels of vitamin B-12. However, these supportive arguments fail to mention that soy's B-12 is an inactive B-12 analog, not utilized as a vitamin in the human body. Some researchers speculate this analog may actually serve to block the body's B-12 absorption.

  • "Good quality soy" that's like saying there's a better game of Russian Roulette. Gerson's study of soy is what I'm sticking to.

  • Scientists fed about 500 mg of hexane to lab rats for 90 days and found no adverse effects. Even if veggie burgers were to lose none of the volatile hexane during cooking, it would take more than 353,000 veggie burgers a day to reach that level, adjusted for human body weight. At 2,000 mg of the solvent over the 90-day period, the rats started to show some neurological problems. That's about 1.4 million veggie burgers per person, per day.

  • Perhaps the info is good? But psychetruth is using sex to attract video hits which is dishonest - basically a lie!. Therefor I'll not click on any video by psychetruth. Get honest & I might change my mind. But, who cares? Right?

  • I have hormonal imbalance. Is soy bad for me??

  • Here is a good website for individuals avoiding soy or minimising their soy intake:

    soyfreegroup.yolasite.com

copy and paste the above link into your browser

  • see my channel for whole soybean with kombu and soybean with rice recipes. very easy.

  • i got some organic soybeans and organic soybean milk :)

  • Estrogen mimickers are in soy, so for woman, Soy products can be very helpful, but too much is not good, especially for men!!

  • "Teamwork makes the dream work my friend" Now this is what im talking about, awesome job well done here on your channel, Im subbed, please stop by and sub back.

    more power to you,

    Justin

  • i cant eat soy by itself. it tastes so horrible. i eat it with other peanuts and dried fruits as a snack

  • AAHH, damn it, i just ordered a bunch of supplements with soy protein isolate in them,.... Im a guy, Am i gonna like sprout some titties or something if i eat them, lol, just to be safe, ill prolly use em up then never buy soy again

  • Will soy permendently affect my estrogen production?

  • Is the brand name Boca Burgers good quality soy?

  • yea..for extra protein snacks i think ill just stick to my beef jerky and penut butter...this soy stuff sound good and all with its complete protein, but still all this hype about testosterone and men becoming more feminine is kinda scaring me out of eating them...i mean ill stil eat about three table spoons a day (which on the back of my soy nut package says contains 10g of protein roughly per serving) since i dont see how 9 little beans would like make me loose beard hair or anything like that

  • i'm running away from soy!

  • but i love edamame.

  • So what is the safe reference level for soya?

  • could soya sto my hair thinning im 59

  • THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!

I've been looking for a safe treatment for Estrogen dominance.

  • So is this correct? you say a little bit of soy Could be good.

But like 30% of products have Soy in it !!!

So that seems to be to much so its not good?

  • It's actually 60% of all products in grocery stores have a soy product in them!

  • 60% of food has some type of soy in it. One company's seed makes 80% of the entire worlds crop. Hellman's Mayonasse use to have canola oil in it. fatty but safe and it was change to soy bean oil. everthing even mustard these days can have soybean oil in it why?

  • How much soy per day is too much?

How much soy per day is too little?

  • Go to yr GP & get tested for yr hormones balance. They will advise U from there

  • Comment removed

  • This is quite subjective, it depends on yr weight, height, gender & age. Of coz, if U're a guy, one should be more mindful as the doc mentioned.

Else for ladies, it should'nt be a problem regarding abt yr soy cosumption.

I assume Estrogen & Testosterone tests would be the answer. Best is ask yr GP for professional advice. cheers

  • Sorry, I not sure. Do refer to a nutritionist or GP, they are in better position to tell.

  • The great african-american scientist/botanist George Washington Carver in the early 1900's invented such products from the soybean as Adhesives, paper, axle, greese, plastic, bleach, shaving cream, buttermilk, shoe polish, chilli, sause, wood, stain, fuel, briquettes, linoleum, meat tenderizer, and metal polish etc. He also met and influenced Henry Ford to developed the plastics used on automobiles that are still used today.

  • Thank you for clarifying these issues doctor. There are too many "soy haters" out there spewing nonsense. I <3 SOY.

I've always believed that too much of anything is bad, so yeah, we should use common sense when we eat anything.

  • That was informative information. I will apply to my diet.

  • i don't think i eat a 'heap' of soy... and all of the soy products here in Australia that I have seen are non-GM and natural.

  • i try to only eat fermented types of soy, i heard these are better(thank non-fermented). like tempeh, but not tofu.

    is this true???

  • No soy. Please, let's stop depleting the rainforests. The soy industry is just as cruel as the meat industry.

  • absolutely. monsanto is taking over

  • that chick at the end ... is hot...

  • he's kind of vague when it comes to the actual amount of soy that is considered "too much"

I don't drink cows milk at all, but I put soy milk in my serial... I substitute some meals that have mice in them with soy mice...I make myself a cup of hot chocolate with soy milk before i go to bed

I don't eat and drink soy every day but when the alternative to add soy in my meal without it tasting horrible is there then I'll substitute it for soy...how much is too much!?

  • ..mice?! There is no food with mice in it, because no one wants to eat mice except cats.

  • What do you mean? You substitute "mice" for soy "mice". Who eats mice anyways?!!! I can't figure out what you mean.

  • Soy is absolutely the best for you when it is organic. So try and aim for organic soy! Great video.

  • organic soy? what next!

  • these things called vegans. go figure!

  • Hemp Hemp Hooray !

  • It's balance. Except if you have thyroid problems...you should not have soy with thyroid challenges.

  • thanks I realy needed to know.

  • How can you tell if the soy you buy has been processed correctly or not?

  • @jhillst

lol im 1 min in the video had the same question

i think u just got to buy the more expense version in the store

  • @jhillst good question, considering that EVERYTHING now a days has soy in various forms.

  • Oh yeah and how much should I eat a day as a 42 year old woman so that I don't get too much estrogen effects. I did not hear him say how much to eat .

  • the main soys that i eat are firm tofu, edeme,Tempeh and soy milk. Are these bad?The only thing I heard him say was that tofu is not that great.I guess he does not want a law suit. Who knows which things are good?

  • So are Morning Star and similar meat substitutes safe for moderate consumption (1 patty daily) over a lifetime? How about Quorn's mycoprotein?

  • Cant see problem with mycoprotein its "grown" Like Mushrooms.

  • Buddhist monks have been eating soy & rice for thousands of years.

  • An unprocessed soy...

  • True, but then I dont think the food they eat is as polluted with pesticdes and growth products like our has been. The U.S concums SO much food we have to nearly posie it to make enough. And that is the truth. The Buddhist monks that live way out in the himalayas grow their own food plus the ground its self is a lot cleaner the Grow the food in the first place, because it hasnt been used as much. But still even if our food was the Same as there's... I'd STILL hate soybeans! lol

  • My own personal experience as a male corroberates Dr. Vincent Bellonzi's statements. Soy became my first experience with the phenomenon known as a food allergy. I had replaced whole wheat flour with soy and apparently this caused an over consumption of a product that has "side effects" potential. WARNING: use in moderation if you are male.

  • SOY IS EVIL! -but anyone can tell that by the way it tast...

  • EVIL? lol

  • Completely

  • what do you mean by "evil" ? is it Satan's work?

  • hahaha

Well I wasnt thinking of the devil.. BUT if he EVER tried to cook..well he might just end up with a soybean. Thats how I feel about them anyway haha, I dont have anything against ppl who do like them.. it's just my opinion -I can't stand them.

  • What you dont explain is why you think is evil. is it evil for you just because you dont like its taste, or for some other reason? Personally, I neither like nor dislike soy, it is just part of nature, as you and I are. It seems silly and childish to me hearing one saying that soy is evil, for whatever reason.

  • Chill I WAS only joking! And I know it sounds childish, I'm 19 and IN college but I Still get treated like a child so I act like one a lot of the time, that goes along with having two Much younger sisters bugging me all day. There playfullness and joking havits rub off on me at times. Is that so wrong? And no.. I don't think beans are from satan, I don't see how anyone could take a joke like "if he EVER tried to cook, he'd get those beans" as a serous statment. lol

  • I took the joke "if he EVER tried to cook, he'd get those beans" but your saying that "SOY IS EVIL! -but anyone can tell that by the way it tast.." did not sound like a joke. Anyway, to be child-like is one thing and to be childish is another. To be child-like has beauty and to be childish is just ugly. I hope you really are child-like and not just childish!! PEACE

  • Being childish is not being ugly. It's being smart. Peace be with you to.

    -KILL THE SOY!!!!!!!!

  • Are there any particular soy and/or tofu products that are processed "correctly" that you would recommend? I'm guessing that organic would be best.

  • Live by the Soy, die by the Soy!

  • I thought this video was interesting. I still don't trust Soy in any kind of way. Not only is it the Estrogen that's dangerous, which Bellonzi didn't say specifically of whether and how he believes that it increases or decreases Estrogen, but I believe increases it, but it's also Glutamate and Lecithin that exists in them, because of how they can extremely increase and mess with your brain's version of them.

  • Some good info in this video... I'd like to know, will estrogen agonists in soy have any effect on hormonal birth control?

  • Hmmm, pretty interesting, but I can't help but feel he kept repeating stuff that he didn't really need to, like "There's good soy and bad soy" and "It can help you, or hurt you." It felt like he said each of those 5 times in some way or another, but maybe it's just me.

  • His point was about balancing it out not to much not too little hence the disclaimer

  • Right, but I got that the second time he said it. I'm saying he didn't need to keep saying it.

  • I love hot daddy doctors!

I think it was Oscar Wilde that said "Everything in Moderation. INCLUDING moderation"

  • did you know that "Soy" means I am in spanish

  • So 'You are what you eat' may mean 'You are what you are,' if you eat soy. :P

  • soy is great! its great to be vegan & save the animals =D

  • Actually is isn't, causes B12 deficiency thus increasing heart disease. Not to mention a poor source of protein, phytic acid, trypsin inhibitors and goitorges both which increase thyroid problems and birth defects in the unborn.

    See my video "Soy Studies"

  • I've heard that Far East soy is much healthier than our Western version of soy.

  • Soy is least damaging when fermented.

So your statement would only be true if FE Soy is indeed fermented, and if it's non-GMO Soy. At least the first condition would be likely true since fermented Soy is traditionally used in the East.

I would hesitate to call Soy healthy even if it's fermented though.

  • I tasted tofu once. tasted like industrial plastic. lol

  • Am so gonna spoon feed my girlfriend soybeans =)

  • these comment are weird, i thought this was just a guy talking about soy :-)

  • See it as an artifact of free speech.

  • tj I don´t think that´s an anti Jewish response.

The term Jews means humanity but the term Jewish elite means those who do not have a right to rule but were placed irresponsibly into power in Israel when Israel was (which it is at present) a State.

    Thingvellir,

  • What´s being talked about are bums who pass themselves off as someone who has right to rule over others but not Jews as such.

The people behind the gm food scam don´t want people to know that the process of gm plants can be reversed to get their taste back.

When people say down with Israel they mean the State of Israel which I think is illegal according to the Torah,

    Thingvellir,

  • What is this anti-jew response about? Who is playing a blame the jew game? Such an attitude will discredit the truth of the distorted food issue. Don't blame the jew for everything, nor the american, nor the french, nor anybody except the true agents of the poisoning of our food. I don't know who that may be, but I do know we won't find out by scape-goating anybody (neither the jew nor the greek). fatherly advice AC

  • natalie's back. u know those provacative pics like the tummy in the avater? thats natalie!

  • how do you know and who cares

  • i eat soy sauce everday.

  • Great video! Five stars! . Yeah, I like "yeah10000000's" question: what is aspartic acid? . And what are the proven dangers of artificial sweeteners? Are there any good artificial sweeteners? . What's the truth behind the arguments that cell phones cause cancer or tumors in your head? . Are hormones in cattle causing girls to mature earlier and resulting in an increase in teen pregnancies? . Why aren't companies required to label the foods that are genetically modified? . THANKS!
  • bizfixer... wake up! we are all being posioned all the time. The chemicals dumb us down. why do you think US had the highest literacy rate in the 1930s? The jewish elites run everything and they want you dead. But they dont want you to know that, so you are poisoned.. in so many different ways. You have to be careful with what you put into your body.

  • Somehow, i seriously doubt it's some zionist agenda, and more like processed foods simply just turn a profit.

  • well i think it could be a little of both you're definately right about the processed food making a great profit, but could be that those who profit at the top, are part of the agenda

  • I don't believe there's some hidden agenda out there to make the world more stupid or give the world more problems.

I think the only agenda that there has ever really been is to make a profit, that's all i'm really saying.

  • Do you really want to play ball Blue dragon? Do you really know what you are talking about? Fluoride, chloride, aspartame, nitrates in your meat. Look this stuff up. I'm talking about poisons here. THEN look at how this stuff was introduced and who was involved. Dont respond for a week so you have the time to look into this stuff. The govt allows fluoride in your water. Does the government profit from that?

  • Sick but true, and hard for most people to believe

  • Are you an idiot, or just plain retarded sirbadman? The government doesn't directly profit from letting that shit slide the way they do, and no one is saying that they did, they get kick backs/other deals under the table from the lobbyists/companies that allow those things to slide which is TURNING A FUCKING PROFIT for the government officials.

The companies themselves are trying to cut costs, and avoid liability which is horrible, but seems to be monetarily motivated, but you... (cont.)

  • (cont.) ... wouldn't have us believe that money is the real issue here sirbadman, you'd have us believe that it's all a fucking conspiracy of a group of people who just simply want to fuck shit up. They have no other motivation except that they're simply evil people with a lot of fucking money and influence.

I don't see what the point would be. I can understand negligence and dodging accountability, but i can't understand evil for the sake of evil, which is what you're basically saying.

  • To further clarify, i do agree that the food we eat in america is pretty shitty due to a lot of the additives, MSG, transfat, etc, but i DON'T THINK SOME EVIL CABAL OF JEWS ARE BEHIND IT.

It seems to me more plausible that it's just companies trying not to get sued into oblivion and back and people trying to protect their own wealth then simply evil for the sake of evil. Evil people just wanting to do evil, which is what you're trying to have us believe.

  • Jewish elites? What are you, fuckin stupid? Into your head, into your head, you call that awake, you're full of shiiiiit!

  • Dr. Vincent Bellonzi is great but I MISS NATALIE A LOT.

  • I still want to know where natalie is.

  • I read that soy depletes calcium in your body as well. I was told by a friend of mine that all protein consumption depletes calicium. Does any one know if this is true.

  • Naturally foods come in such ways that you can use them. So in meat and milk, protein and calcium come together. Vitamin c and protein don't come together. Eat them together and they react.

  • the animals that produce meats and milks are so heavily drugged with hormones and other chemicals that it makes these products almost unnatural and harmful,

hot dogs r the worst, they are seriously left over meat, and disgarded cows, the entire animal, all bones, eyes, intestantes and the waste in the intestates, brain, lungs, this is all consumed while eating hot dogs and other cheap meats, not even including all the drugs used

  • I remember eating soyburgers in school and to me, they were just as good if not better than the beef version I would eat either at home or at a fast food place.

  • what's aspartic acid?

  • this is so true, I heard it before and changed some things.... after a week I already saw differences! Thanks a lot for the information Doc, I'm glad I don't have to avoid it completely, but so far I feel good without it, it was just too much the past last years since turning a veregtarian...pretty common I guess

  • this video is repetitive and not very informative

  • isn't there a better source for protein/

  • I heard someone on youtube say consumption of "soy makes you gay" .

  • Finally something about SOY!! Thanks.

now is there good and bad about being 100% raw or vegan or vegitarian?

Also how can you tell if something is really organic because the packet says its organic how are we suppose to know if they really don't use all the presisides and chemicals..etc..

Also when i go to the Farmers Market..I don't trust that the people really grew everything ORGANIC. Is there a way or telling..??

  • "Dr. Vincent Bellonzi is a chiropractor and is certified in Clinical Nutrition. He has been in practice for over 12 years. He received his Doctorate from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1991."

This guy is NOT a registered dietitian. If you're going to address such a hot topic as the estrogen/soy debate, you should at least have a statement from a R.D.

Also, it would help for him to post his sources for the info he was giving in the sidebar.

  • Let me google that for you......

There are plenty of doctors that will say the exact same things he is saying. Get informed.

  • A lot of folks who study herbalism and other natural forms of eating are not registered with anyone so that lack in and of itself says nothing about the credibility of the person themselves.

  • A good alert about soy; Dr. Kaayla Daniel, PhD in Nutritional Sciences, author of the book "The Whole Soy Story: The Dark Side of America's favourite health food":

    watch?v=fc6vQGBpLEw

Dr. Breeding , Natalie, Dr. Bellonzi and all involved in reporting about health here on Psychetruth channel should read Dr. Kaayla's book.

As they say: "Truth will free you, but first it will p*** you off".

  • Overprocessed garbage, sold at higher prices because of all the chemicals and preservatives added to it. Read the labels, even if the product says it's "organic", "natural", or whatever....

  • This is pretty vague. How much soy is appropriate, how much is too much? What's wrong with some kinds of tofu? How can we tell a good quality soy product from one that is not so good? And what about menopausal women drinking soy milk as a source of calcium? OK or not? How much is OK?

  • So sorry to say but you sound like a person with an agenda. Normally I like psychetruth for its attention to balance but...

  • This was great...cleared up some slight confusion. Thanks!

  • hey i'd listen to this guy. he has great skin for some one with a bunch of gray hairs.

  • Nice Vid. Can you do a video on organic foods? ie/ why pay the extra money for organic foods, what chemicals / pesticides do we consume in non-organic foods ...

  • There is much info on the net about the problems with soy.

A good start to anyone, worth reading carefully:

  • Even Dr. V. Bellonzi would learn some facts he is not aware of, from the text I mentioned.

The site it was originally published has been taken down from the Internet and now exists only on the "webarchive" (sort of deleted websites archive). The whole US population has been scamed since the 70's into consuming processed soy.

Great sources of info on soy problems are Dr. Mercola's website and Weston Price.

    Documentaries:

"The world according to monsanto" and

    "The future of food".

  • hell now im confused. so tofu isn't good for you? that doesn't make much sense.

  • Very poor report.

  • Why do you say that? I'm just curious.

  • Why do you feel that way? Can you please elaborate?

    I'm interested.

  • How do you figure? If you've ever done any research by people who have degrees and don't just claim to be nutrtionists or members of peta you'll find everything he said is true.

  • i love being a pescatarian :)

  • I'm not really into soy products (for the sole reason that I stay away from processed kinds if possible), but I do love edamame. Is there a number of servings per day or a maximum limit?

  • so what is too much as what is an ok amount ?

  • what is good processing?

  • ya i'd like to know as well

  • i stay away from as much soy as possible cause i lift weights and i like to keep my testosrene levels high.i don't know how high my levels are already cause i really never went a doctor about anything in years cause i never gotten sick or slighley ill after i started weight trainning.soy helps with weight loss? ain't that just helpful for women and not men caus i heard testosrene is not only the most powerful muscle builder but also your most powerful fat burnner as well?

    hmmm...

  • too much testosterone might be bad, i don't really know, but an unbalanced quantity of hormones is never good

  • interesting. Hey dr. i heard milk can actualy increase your chances of getting osteoporosis. Can you make your next vid on milk plz?

  • can soy affect the growth adolescent males if eaten on daily basis? (estrogen hormone?)

  • is natalie no more? =/

  • i know right

  • how much would you recommend consuming on a daily or weekly basis?

  • you make my favourite videos on this channel. You're extremely well spoken, and are easy to listen to. Additionaly, you are very informative- I always learn something new from you.

Take care, and I look forward to your next instalment.

  • Plus you are hot.

  • I am addicted to soy . : (

  • Finally!

  • Soy is one of the main GMO crops too so thats a major warning and a reason to get organically.
